Hello! We're glad you found us. My name is Alix Friedman and I am the founder and President of The Golden Hand. I started this company with one goal in mind: to help others make their current homes, feel like their homes. We take great pride in anything we put our name on, you will see this precision through our repeat clients, positive testimonials, and the work we do on your house. In addition to our detail-oriented workmanship, I also strive to reflect my personal morals into The Golden Hand. I studied environmental studies at college and truly believe in reducing and reusing. When we are on a job our goal is to keep waste to a minimum, repurposing as much refuse as we can. We go to great lengths to repair an item through all means necessary before fully replacing it. Not only are we environmentally conscious, but we also believe in giving back through charity. The Golden Hand donates 2.5% of each job's revenue towards that clients' favorite charity. Our family recently contracted The Golden Hand for a large, multi-month renovation project and are so glad that we did. Alix (company owner) and his team are dedicated to making their customers happy – and we are! Our project scope involved updating the dining and living rooms, and renovating the master suite (which included a whole new master bath). Because we elected to live in our home for the duration of the project, we appreciated the steps Golden Hand took to minimize their impact on our other living space – including isolating each work zone with plastic “walls”, the use of HEPA air filtration, and the extra effort devoted to cleaning up after each work day. One of the most satisfying aspects of this process was the personal attention received from everyone we encountered, not to mention the level of workmanship and attention to the little details that really brought our redesigned home space to life. Would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family.

We are so pleased with our kitchen, mudroom and living room renovation. The Golden Hand came highly recommended to us by two different friends and we had no doubt in our mind that we needed to use Alix for our project - and we are so glad we did! From the first to final meeting, Alix was an absolute professional - he listened, he checked in, he provided suggestions on vendors (which were all amazing as well!), he was in constant communication - he always responded to emails, texts, calls etc. in record time - and we never had to worry that our job wasn't a priority to him and his team. Our project started on time and ended within the window of time that Alix estimated - which I feel like is unheard of in home renovation! The team of guys (Dave, Matt & Ryan) who were at our house every day are absolutely the best - they were all very professional, polite, extremely hard workers, they took pride in the work they were doing, and just a true pleasure to be around - to the point that my kids were asking when they were coming back to our house! The Golden Hand exceeded all expectations and we are absolutely blown away with how everything turned out. I highly recommend you work with The Golden Hand - you will not be disappointed!

We're truly thrilled to have found The Golden Hand. Having newly moved into the area, we needed someone to help make small and larger repairs to our home. After a bad contractor experience, we put all projects on hold for several months until we found The Golden Hand. And, we could not be happier with the choice. So far, they've repaired an issue with our shower, replaced our garbage disposal, and taken on numerous other projects in the interior and exterior of our house. Alix, Sara, and the entire team are consummate, caring professionals. They provide fair estimates, plenty of information and choices, and excellent work. Best of all, they are honest, trustworthy, responsive, and candid about problems and options. I had The Golden Hands do a variety of work for me including: removing my garage ceiling, adding insulation, replacing the ceiling, and then painting the entire garage. They did a great job and were on budget and on schedule. They also did some work inside the house painting and everything came out very well. Great crew and all very nice to have around. I highly recommend them.
