Who is Rogue Remodel? Rogue Remodel is owned and operated by me.... Davis Stone! I was born and raised in the Greater Portland Metro Area and I first developed my skills working for several family businesses before branching off from family to work for 2 of the largest restoration companies in Portland during the recession. While working in restoration I attended college in the evenings to get a degree in Construction Management which helped catapult me within the companies too positions in project management, and estimating. With 20+years of both hands on construction experience and project management, I figured it was time to start my own company in 2015, and here we are today. What do we do? Remodel houses mainly, but we have been known to dabble a bit into the commercial world, and we built a custom home from the ground up too! I try to self perform all demolition, carpentry, drywall, and painting on all my projects while utilizing a great group of subcontractors for specialty trades such as Flooring, Solid Surface Counter tops, Tile, Architectural Metals, Glass, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC. I enjoy working with my hands, as well as visualizing, estimating,managing and building a project from start to finish. This is what I love to do, and I plan to do it this way for a long time. How do we add value to your project? Design first, build second. I want you to know what it’s going to look like, rather than have it be an idea in 2 different minds. I’m able to do this by utilizing Chief Architect’s X10 CAD Based 3D architectural software to map out the existing home, then create the design to present to you prior to starting the job. By building the project in this software first, we are able to reduce error, and unknowns, which leads to - on time, and on budget. I also use Xacware’s estimating software - XactRemodel. By using this estimating platform, I can show you exactly where every dollar is being spent, and we can figure out how to value engineer the project to meet your budget. The pricing for materials and labor is updated on a monthly basis by Xactware, to meet the current markets rates for both labor and commodities.
