From start to finish, the attention to detail was impeccable! Matt, the owner, was a pleasure to work with, and his team were prompt, clean, and did this project exactly the way I wanted. High standards from me and so pleased with the end result. Will use them again for any other project I need. 15 years of projects and I have finally found a quality contractor.

Matt Philbin's crew just completed installing a new skylight in our 16 year old kitchen. The effect is excellent: exactly as we expected. The skylight opening is perfectly centered over an existing island, providing tons of light to an otherwise dark area. The skylight required connecting the house roof to the kitchen ceiling with a tunnel. At the tunnel's highest point, the wall is a bit over 9' from the kitchen ceiling - very dramatic! Photos can not do justice to the impact the skylight has in our kitchen. The skylight has experienced a downpour and a light snow without a drip. Philbin's crew - John and Chris - are conscientious craftsmen - involving us in all of the decisions and worked diligently to finish the project. Could not have asked for a better team. This is our second project with Philbin Construction and highly recommend Matt and his crews.

Matt did a fantastic job designing a beautiful kitchen remodel. Chris and Glenn made it happen and while having your home under construction is very stressful they were very respectful of our home and family trying to be as least disruptive as possible. I would certainly recommend this business to anyone looking to do a reno project.

First time remodel. Everyone at Philbin Construction was such a pleasure to work with. They made sure we were pleased with everything as they moved through the project, step by step. When we decided to remodel our tiny kitchen, we were hoping to steal some additional space from our utility room, garage and possibly the adjoining dining room. While we couldn't use the dining room, he did convert the utility room and part of the garage to enlarge our kitchen. I wanted to keep our washer/dryer on the first floor. We also wanted an island or peninsula to eat at versus an eat-in dining area. He came up with a very clever solution by extending the counter space to create an island type space. In addition, on one wall he suggested a narrow china cabinet so we could display some antique china. We used the same flooring in the kitchen and dining room to allow the room to flow. People who have gutted their kitchens told us it would take 4-5 months. Matt told us our project would take 6-7 weeks, and he was spot on. Matt and his crew were terrific! Every night they would clean up their daily mess. They were super polite and extremely professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Philbin Construction for any project. We love our beautiful new kitchen! I feel we have a brand new house!

We remodeled a large portion of our house. The final product was excellent with one exception...a pocket door that did not function properly. We didn't immediately notice it but I called them about a month after the project finished and they came out and made it right. This company not only does a great job but they stay true to their word and make sure you are satisfied when it's all done. Highly recommended.

We have dealt with Philbin Construction & Remodeling since 1990 when we met Jack at a home show. He and his nephew Matt over the years have added a kitchen skylight, removed paneling & added 2 new windows in our family room. Added an exhaust fan in the master bathroom. Replaced windows in our basement/living & dining rooms, installed new outer doors, sidelight, & new screen doors. Replaced siding and had exteriors of wood windows aluminum wrapped. Designed & installed a composite deck and added some fencing to create separate areas for our greyhounds and the fosters. Also have used their services as handyman to secure a light fixture in my Mom’s flexicore ceiling at her condo and replace a garbage disposal. If there was ever any problem or question, I call Jack or Matt first and the situation always gets resolved quickly and happily. Their contracts are written in detail so there’s no question as to what/how the project will be staged, etc. Clean-up is never an issue with Philbin’s work crew. We have been thoroughly pleased with their work and the products they offer/use. We plan on using Philbin in the future as I will not use anyone else.

Philbin Construction was wonderful to work with. No major issues here. Bathroom was done in time, and communication with Matt Philbin was quick, professional, and friendly. We had A LOT of questions and concerns, and the staff - especially Matt, the owner, and Glenn, the man who did a lot of the work were accommodating and answered all of our questions. Glenn was at our home the most and really paid attention to detail - down to knob placement and any depth issues we might have wirh our cabinet knobs. Flooring looks great, and so happy with the shower - we used Choreograph by Kohler. We recommend to ask about this easy to clean shower wall material!

You get what you pay for, which is perfection from Phibin Construction and Remodeling Co. in Mokena, IL. Approximately 2.5 years ago, we hired Phibin Construction Company to remodel our Kitchen. We are still amazed by the outcome of the project. Our choice came from ongoing research on similar companies, and a recommendation from an extremely fussy friend. Matt provided us with great ideas and was very patient with us when working on the design. We were always able to get in touch with Matt anytime. His team was friendly, reliable and very professional. They were respectful and made sure there was no mess for us at the end of each work day. We felt completely at ease during the whole project. We did not worry at all with their workmanship, following codes, cutting corners, etc. Even two years later we were able to count on them to fix a small problem that any other company would have charged us for. You may pay a little more, but in the end, peace of mind and a great job go a long way.

After waiting over 25 years and being the last thing in the house to be redone, we undertook a kitchen remodel project. After doing due diligence in researching companies to deal with we contacted Philbin and Matt came out and met with us. From the first meeting until the day the job was completed working with Matt, getting his design and suggestions and the work crew of John, Glen, and John was nothing but a great experience. The attention to detail, knowledge, and ability of all members of the Philbin team made this project so much easier for us to get done. We added a few additional tasks to the project in our living room, and everything was completed beyond our expectations. I would not hesitate to use Philbin again in the future, I would recommend them to any family, friends, or neighbors (and have). To be able to find a reliable, trustworthy, extremely competent company to work with is harder and harder to find, especially with large projects involving a complete remodel. The Philbin team made it happen.

We have been working with Philbin Construction on various projects for about 10 years. We would not even consider using another company. They did a complete remodeling of our present home and flooring and other projects in our new home. Jack and his team are experienced, timely, and their cleanup is great. Jack is a professional who is proud of his work and that is reflected in everything his team does. Five stars is not enough!

Our kitchen remodel was not planned. Due to some unfortunate circumstances we ended up needing our kitchen redone. My past experience with contractors in previous remodels have been absolute nightmares. So needless to say I faced this experience with much trepidation. However, my experience with Philbin Construction was awesome! One of the biggest issues in any remodeling project is communication. Communication between myself and the team was great! I knew what was happening and when it was happening. I knew exactly what to expect. Any questions I had were welcomed. Anna was our designer and she did a wonderful job. Not only did she work with us in regards to the design and budget but she also anticipated potential problems. She had design suggestions that I had not initially thought about which was a tremendous help! John and Glenn who worked on my kitchen were wonderful too! Any problems or questions I had during the remodel, they were quick to answer and quickly fixed any issues that came up along the way. John and Glenn were also great at anticipating potential problems. More importantly, everyone I encountered at Philbin was kind and respectful and in a world like ours it is something I really appreciate! My kitchen turned out wonderful and it is the first time I can honestly say that I would definitely use Philbin again and I would recommend them to family and friends without hesitation.

My wife and I were more than pleased with our bathroom remodeling project. The Philbin group were very professional and helpful and the quality of their craftsmanship was evident throughout the project. My wife was especially pleased with the workmen who were meticulous with their work and the care they took in cleaning up at the end of each day. In addition, we had one minor plumbing issue after the project was completed, which they took care of immediately. We will definitely use Philbin Construction again in the near future!

We have been working with Philbin Construction & Remodeling for a few years. Matt and his crew have replaced the windows in our home, and most recently they have replaced the sliding glass doors in our kitchen. Matt is extremely professional. He takes the time to explain all of the options, so we can make an informed decision without ever trying to sway our decision. We trust that we are getting quality products that are installed by professionals who take pride in their work. Matt and his crew have always been prompt, professional, and friendly, and I am very comfortable having them work in my house. They take care to leave the area they worked on in the same condition they found it. We are extremely pleased with their professionalism and the high quality of their work.

This was not a small project and after a frustrating search of many months we found Philbin Construction. We have a tri-level and did a complete remodel of the main floor - taking down walls, pulling up old floors, installing new hardwood flooring, some new cabinetry, new lighting and granite counter tops. While not the least expensive bid for the project it met and went beyond all of our needs. Matt worked within our budget and provided us with a couple of estimates with different choices. We had a number of contractors who said they couldn't or didn't want to work with our existing cabinetry - Philbin could and did! We also felt that one of the biggest selling points was that the work is done by company employees - so there is no waiting for sub-contractors! Matt provided us with a very open, beautiful and functional floor plan. He recommended a cabinet that complimented our existing cabinetry extremely well - you wouldn't know it wasn't done at the same time. He worked with us on all the choices we needed to make, offering suggestions but not pushing in any direction so it was totally ours. His crew was cordial, polite and very professional. They were there when they said they were going to be there, the work space was left spic and span clean at the end of each day. Did I mention that they worked around two very active, eight month, large-breed puppies! The super clean space at the end of the day was awesome for this reason alone. Thanks John, Glenn and John for putting up with our pups and having fun with them too! The job was also completed pretty much in the time frame expected (we had to wait for the granite which was out of Matt's control). The end result is absolutely gorgeous! Now all we need to do is decide how to decorate all the new space we have! We would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, quality and beautiful end result for their project.

Matt and his team assisted in the entire process from design to material selection. During the installation the work crews were there everyday on time and handled any issue that came up quickly. There was always help with ideas and suggestions made to have a great outcome. The work was done to a very high standard. The project manager was always available night and day if needed. Philbin's team also shared our strict attention to detail and made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone hoping to have high quality professional work done in their homes. You will be impressed with the quality and value.

Matt & Team were amazing to work with! Thorough, detailed, thoughtful, flexible, and skilled. We are very pleased with the bathroom remodel they did for us. And grateful for their graciousness in accommodating my impromptu "honey do" lists of random other jobs around the house.

Everyone on the Philbin team was extremely responsive, punctual and professional! The bill was extremely close to the estimate; and when we were using costly materials, they informed us before we made the final decision. They assisted us every step of the way!
