McGuire Homes made the building process so easy. From picking finishes to the actual building process Nicole and her team were wonderful to work with. We could not be happier with our new house!

It was truly an honor to build with McGuire Custom Homes. The attention to detail was impeccable. It is not easy to build ‘custom’, as there are a lot of decisions to make and a budget to adhere to. McGuire Homes was on top of it the through the entire process while providing the guidance we needed to insure we had the home of our dreams! McGuire Custom Homes delivers just that ... a ‘home’, not just a house.

Our experience, unfortunately, was negative, ended with lawyers being involved, and no home. The organization and communication with the owner Nicole McGuire was very hard to manage. The budget was botched starting with the stone being put in front of the house and did not stop throughout. The project was delayed beyond a reasonable time. Since we had experience building a home already we expected delays. However, when they were already in breach of contract the project was delayed even more. The house was to be done middle of July then September, finally culminating to being told it wouldn’t be done until beginning of November. The reason for that was if we wanted quality custom cabinets then we’d have to wait. Our family has two little kids that start school for the first time in Champaign since we moved from Chicago and left with such a mess at hand. The outside details of the house front and back( black windows and shape), the kitchen set up, the tall windows, the arched window in the music room, the lovey bathroom, the extra room upstairs was supposed the be my child’s therapy room/ playroom. All the ideas were from pictures I gathered in the Houzz app The house is now up for sale- somehow saying it will be completed October 1st at 15% over the contracted budget. I assume since we were told quality custom cabinets would take to end of October that they replaced it with something else or somehow the cabinet place now made room for the order.
