I had worked with Empire Builder and Design Center twice and overall my experience has been great. They worked on my kitchen remodel and they replaced my interior doors. I thought their professionalism was spot on and found them very easy to work with.

I just wanted to share with all readers that dealing with the remodeling of a home can be extremely stressful and time consuming, but how the process is managed and coordinated can make all the difference between having an overall positive or negative experience. We had several projects going on simultaneously with our most recent remodel during the summer of 2015 that encompassed nearly 75% of our home at one point or another. This included the demolition of existing carpeting, wood flooring and wall paneling, texturing and painting of walls and ceilings in nearly every room and hallway, base molding, ceiling molding and door trim in every room / hallway that was painted, installing new wood flooring in 4 rooms, a hallway and 2 flights of stairs, and the crowning achievement, a customized wrought iron door with glass inlay. The amount of labor required to carry out our home remodel was carried out in 3 phases over several months, and involved 3 different work crews. All throughout the changing work phases and different work crews, there was one constant that integrated all work schedules and kept the projects moving forward to their timely completion that exceeded our expectations: Michael Lopez at Empire flooring. Michael was an integral part of our remodel, as we were amazed at how he handled and responded to multiple tasks and work crews that we had to address throughout all 3 phases of our remodel. Above all, we always felt that Michael put us and our needs as the top priority when coordinating the different phases of our remodel. When talking with other home owners at Empire Flooring who were going through similar stressful and time consuming remodels of their own, we discovered that Michael handles everyone’s home remodel the same way, not just us. Seeing Michael interact with other customers and paying attention to their concerns and needs was impressive, and bodes well for the customer service experience of dealing with Empire Flooring. Michael made our transition from our old home to a fresh new remodeled home with minimal disruption to our lives. Michael even paid attention to the small details, such as making deliveries of flooring on his own to keep work on schedule, and spending tremendous amounts of time talking with us, explaining every detail of the project. Our overall experience of working with Empire Flooring for our multi-phase, multi-month and multi-crew home remodel during the summer of 2015 was very positive, and the primary reason for this was the customer service experience of working with Michael Lopez.
