After over a decade of carpentry work under his belt, he made the transition from managing a construction company to eventually starting his own construction company in 1994. When we shopped for a general contractor to do a major 5 month renovation of our 5500 SF house, the JM Meyer name came up repeatedly as a company known for detail and quality work. Work began Jan/19 and concluded May/19. The owner, Jim Meyer is a hands on guy which is one of many attributes that separates him from the pack of companies that sign you up send the subs and disappear leaving behind a marginal foreman or no one at all to supervise. Jim would frequently check in the progress. His crew is top notch and hats off to Aaron, Alec, and LaDonna for countless contributions and expressing genuine care and attention throughout the duration of the project. If you want the job done right and understand that the cheapest bid is not always the best choice JM is the right choice. That said, his prices are still fair and he was worth every penny spent. If you take pride in your home and want the real deal, JM Meyer Construction is it.

Jim Meyer was the General Contractor for an architecturally complex, award winning, modern house that we built in Sarasota, Fl. The project required extensive coordination with the architect, interior designer, landscape architect and owners, selection and supervision of the building trades, and cost management. In order to achieve the intended result, high-quality trades and consistent precision in workmanship were required. The project exceeded our expectations which were high. Jim's experience, expertise, attention to detail and organizational and management skills were perfectly suited to the project. Jim and his office manager were always available, professional, personable and prompt. It was a pleasure to work with them. I previously built a waterfront home in Annapolis, Md. and a home on a ranch near Aspen Co., each of which presented difficult construction issues. Those projects provide experience for forming a judgment about Jim Meyer and his team: you cannot do better.

Jim Meyer and the JM Meyer Construction Corp is the finest home-builder we have ever worked with. We have completed major home remodels in CT, MA, OH and KS. All of the General Contractors we worked with were very good. But Jim and his team are all outstanding. Their quality standards are very high. They are excellent communicators. We got to know Jim Meyer while he was working on another project nearby. When we needed a contractor for the remodeling of our 1958 ranch we went directly to Jim. His attention to detail, high quality workmanship, creative building solutions, and daily site supervision to ensure expert project execution was outstanding! We never had to worry about the remodeling project when we were out of town because Jim communicated with us regularly. Jim and his team are professional, responsive, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. All of the various tradesmen that worked on our project respected Jim and spoke highly of his work. Does many better projects which gives him a good perspective from which to add value to the design process. Will use Jim when we add on to our current home.

We were all extremely impressed at your achievements at the new house. The quality of finish, general workmanship and painstaking attention to detail is a real testimony to your efforts and commitment. This is above and beyond a deceptively simple plan form which is at once both generous and exciting in spatial allocation but simultaneously tightly economic on the distribution and clever linkages of those spaces. The whole impression is one of light and open airiness, tied together with carefully considered discipline and sheer design style. You should be justly proud of an amazing body of work.

Jim Meyer came recommended after expressing my dismay to a friend at the professionalism and attitude of several firms I interviewed. All work on our condo was done in our absence. The job was completed on time and on budget. His subcontractors were of high caliber and each and every one that I met, praised his attention to detail. As an illustration, our unit was stripped to the bare walls, rebuilt, and required only one callback for a sticky door. I would suggest that you could do no better than to meet with him to discuss your needs. He is a consummate professional
