Not only was Ken responsive to all of our questions, but he also communicated with us every single day of the project so we always knew who would be coming over and what they would be doing on any given day. Our project was completed on schedule, in budget, and the results exceeded our expectations. We now have a beautiful guest bathroom and a lovely barn door in our home. Original house builder brought back to install a full wet bar. Ken brought in the same people who originally built the house 10 years ago to build out the all aspects of the wet bar - electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, etc. The SAME folks from 10 years ago! This helped to maintain the continuity of our home, which was even better. Work was extremely well done and exceeded our quality standards. Ken gave us all the options and took the time to walk us through the process, purchases and recommendations on design/changes. It's great to see a quality builder step up to ensure we were happy. The fact that his subs are the same subs from years earlier is another good sign for us. With that said, you pay for that level of expertise. While he may not be the cheapest he's also not a fly-by-night contractor either. We really felt he was part of the build process, fully engaged, dedicated to our timeline and needs, and not willing to walk away until we were 100% satisfied. Haven't seen anything like that with any prior contractors we've used.

We contracted Ken Grein Custom Homes to update our 15 year old kitchen. This project included all new appliances, granite countertops, new lighting, new cabinets to transform the kitchen into a highend gourmet kitchen. The projected came in at $50K but it had all the tools and space to let me soar as a chef. My experience with building and remodeling in the past was not wonderful. My experience working with Ken and his crew the best experience I have had with construction. Ken worked with me on ideas and solutions to construction issues created by the existing structure, the result was an extremely functional and fabulous looking kitchen area. It was a joy to work in it.

Ken Grein and his people did a complete redo of our house. Every surface in the house was redone, with many upgrades, including countertops, carpeting, tile work, cabinets, flooring, and crown molding, to say nothing of repainting the entire house and replacing some doors, as well as all door hardware. We had a number of contractors in the house daily during the project, which took about six weeks. Without any exception every subcontractor was a pleasure to work with. They were all punctual, they all worked hard and did not waste time, and the quality of their work was top notch, in several cases, they even suggested ways to save money without losing quality. We recently had new windows installed throughout our home. Ken Grein was the general contractor and did a superb job on every aspect of the project. He was available by phone for all necessary communication almost immediately. Ken with Grein Custom Homes build our dream home. When we started looking at builders to help with the construction of our home, we interviewed several contractors. We decided on Ken because of his honesty and practical approach towards the project. He told us what his fees would be and how the entire project process would proceed. It seemed like we had to drag this information out of other contractors which made us believe we would end up with a bunch of "Unknowns" and probably end up costing us way more in the long run. Working with Ken was a pure delight. His Management skills and scheduling of the various teams, ( Foundation, Framing, Drywall, etc) facilitated the building of our home in professional fashion. We were on a tight schedule to get our home completed by a certain time due to our other home being sold, and trips planned a couple years in advance. It was really a pleasure working with Grein Custom homes. We hired them to remodel my downstairs bathroom and they did a fantastic job. They helped us to choose the right tiles and fixtures that will go with other things that existed before without having to replace whole lot more than what was really needed. As far as cost, it was very reasonable. They worked very efficiently and professionally.

I was fortunate to meet Ken when I needed some improvements in my home. I needed to get a patio and driveway extension done. Ken Grein operated as the general contractor on a $24,000 build out of the downstairs of our home at the time of purchase - 2010 - and a kitchen remodel ($13,000) in 2013 - Both projects were planned, designed and built to perfection - the final costs for the projects were what was proposed - The finishing is perfect and has withstood time - the subcontractors were superb and the management of the sub-contractors and city inspection staff was impeccable - I will not call another general contractor - the Grein Custom Home approach is the best approach to quality and price we have found - Fully recommend their services to anyone -
