Since 1971, our passion for quality construction and craftsmanship has provided our clients with custom homes built with integrity. GORDOBE Homes is a general contractor for custom home development , restoration of significant architecture, renovation of homes that need to be revitalized and remodels to fit the discerning needs of each customer. From individual bathroom renovations, new kitchen cabinet installations and large home construction, we provide the highest quality product and service in Montecito, Santa Barbara County and Ventura County. Gordon Gibbons, the principal of the company, has been hands-on in the industry for 47 years and continues to be an integral part of each project by paying attention to every detail from inception to completion. Our mission is to bring to reality our clients’ construction dreams, by providing the very highest quality personal services and construction possible. Our strategy is based upon total, no-compromise client satisfaction and we continually strive to offer creative and collaborative solutions to meet our clients’ needs. We hired Gordon Gibbons and Gordobe Homes to completely renovate our home in Santa Barbara, including installing a new kitchen and renovating all of the bathrooms. Gordon Gibbons and Gordobe Homes were great to work with. Gordon has a network of skilled subcontractors who did a beautiful job on our home. They were at our house everyday until the job was completed. Invoices were clear and easy to understand. Gordon pays incredible attention to detail. We were completely satisfied with Gordobe Homes and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their home.

Diane Gilbert and I would recommend Gordon Gibbons without hesitation. He is smart and knowledgeable about his craft, has a ton of horse sense, with a keen eye for how things should be done right. His upbeat nature, dry wit, steady hand, and reassuring presence made the stress of renovations even fun at times. He’ll answer the tough questions and his word is as reliable as the quality of his work. Whenever an invoice was submitted, Gordon would go over every line item, detailing, verifying, and occasionally adjusting a charge if necessary. All in his typically, cheerful manner. For months after completing our renovation, he made sure everything was working well, and addressed the few issues that did arise. One “over and above” moment occurred during the Thomas Fire. When it appeared, the fire might reach our evacuated neighborhood, Gordon called and asked us what items he might run by and retrieve from our house for safekeeping.

I've known Gordon for over 15 years. I have represented property he remodeled and am familiar with other construction he has done. I've always found him to be responsive, responsible, and competent. He has both a great sense of design and ability to execute. His work is always of the highest quality. His loyalty to his clients guides his efforts to physically create their desires. He is the kind of person that will go the extra mile and think nothing of it. I highly recommend him for all your construction projects.

Gordon built our custom home in Montecito for a prior owner, an architect. He recently renovated the studio. Before that, he added the library and doubled the size of the garden patio. We wouldn’t think of having any other contractor involved. His communication and managerial abilities, attention to detail and technical knowledge are excellent, but the extra dimension he has is an aesthetic sense that enabled him to offer insightful, invaluable advice as plans were being developed. Once construction begins, it becomes readily apparent that he had assembled a skilled team, kept then all on the same page and us up-to-date, quickly solved the technical or coordination problems that inevitably come up, and managed the project to a high-quality conclusion. He didn’t disappear after the contract was signed and he didn’t leave before the job was done; he was on it every day until we were completely satisfied. I am a designer that has worked on many projects with Gordon Gibbons in Santa Barbara and Montecito. I am happy to say that each of them was a major success due to the fact that Gordon was the general contractor on the job. He is skilled and has the talent and knowledge of an old craftsman..the attention to detail and quest for perfection is unparalleled in these times when the skill set is not always there. He is always on the job to make sure everything is scheduled and running properly on time and budget. The team of subs he works with all work together in perfect tandem with respect for the client and loyalty to each other. They are truly a dream team. Gordon s a man of integrity and honesty that is unmatched. He is truly a prince of a man. Anyone should be honored to have him on their job. He will take the worry and strain out of the process of a new build or remodel. One really could not ask for more in a contractor!

When Mike and I decided that it was time to renovate our home and an interior designer friend recommended GORDOBE Homes. Gordon was a pleasure to work with. HIs vast experience and knowledge allowed him to give us various design possibilities and material options to choose from. He made our decision process easy and was always available for our questions. He and his team are dedicated to quality and their attention to detail is evident at every stage of construction. I am glad that we hired BORDOBE Homes to revitalize our home.

As both a subcontractor and customer of GORDOBE Homes, I have a broad experience with the company and can say that Gordon Gibbons is a superb contractor. He is ethical, honest, highly skilled, meticulous, friendly and goes above and beyond for his clients. His communication is excellent with both clients and subcontractors. His wealth of experience enables him to foresee potential issues and smoothly manage a project with precision. I am thrilled with the GORDOBE remodel of our kitchen, family room and living room in 2014. Further, I have currently hired him again for a second project to add a new master bedroom and master bathroom. I wholeheartedly recommend GORDOBE Homes.
