In January 2014, we had a major water pipe break and flood a portion of our our first floor. Water damage was to the wood floors, carpeted rooms, baseboard, and walls. Fix-a-Disaster is the first company I would call, or recommend, in the event of a disaster to your home. They arrived within hours of my initial call, they reviewed everything thoroughly, and helped to work with the insurance company, on our behalf, to make sure everything that needed repair was accounted for. They were extremely timely in all communication, very courteous, and were completely up front and honest on all work to be performed. They also listened to our requests on any changes we wanted made, and also with their experience, were able to make recommendations that greatly satisfied our concerns. Integrity is everything in today's world of customer service, and Fix-a-Diaster sets the standard. They made sure we knew when all work would start, how long it would take, and what to expect throughout the process. Their experience helped them bring in the appropriate professionals for every aspect of the job. Fix-a-Disaster was on site throughout the restoration process, and made sure we were completely satisfied with all repairs before closing out the work. We don't say this lightly, Fix-a-Disaster not only saved our home, but restored it to perfect condition. They also repaired areas to like-new that were not part of the disaster, but areas, that we asked them to resolve. Fix A Disaster did a couple projects on my house. We had new flooring put down in our kitchen and hallway, new toilets and flooring (some sub-floor replacement) put in two bathrooms), some semi-urgent plumbing repairs and some additional small paint jobs and other minor repairs. The folks at Fix A Disaster were great. They were punctual, polite and they did a great job. They were quite efficient and we are very happy with the results. Everything they touched turned out looking great. They also did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. Sometimes, this is an area where some companies in the repair industry fall short. Special recognition for contractor/project manager Ken Sperry. He was easy to talk to and made sure we were satisfied every step of the way. He answered our questions in a timely manner and you could just tell he took pride in his work and the services he provided. You will not be disappointed if you hire Fix A Disaster!
