Replaced laminate flooring and carpet on new purchase home built 1992 1950 SQ FT Home South Anchorage 2 floors bought 2015 Engineered Hardwood, hand planed wood lower floor living room, family room, stairs Higher end carpet upstairs bedrooms (3) I worked with several associates and they were all stellar service providers. I was called back quickly on prices and other estimates. The work that was done was timely and expertly installed. I felt they were knowledgeable about their products and were able to help me figure out what kind of flooring was best for me, Alaska and our living style. I was willing to pay most any price for what I wanted and never felt taken advantage of - like trying to upsell me to make more money. They focused on what was right for me, not for them and I appreciated that. I likely could have gotten flooring much cheaper elsewhere but I wanted to feel like I was getting the most reliable and quality service as this was my first home and wanted it to be perfect. I also wanted my money to go to a local Alaskan business not to a national company. The only regret I've had is a choice I made myself but feel I was not well advised about it. They said I could save money if I used the existing carpet pad instead of replacing it. I was concerned that the pad was beaten down in the walking areas and I was assured by the installer that this "bounces back" and would feel like new. I agreed to keep the existing pad. Now, I really regret not having them replace it as the walkways are NOT soft and cushiony like the outer areas - there is a marked difference and it irritates me all the time. Cost was not an issue (they knew that) and I felt encouraged to keep it so I trusted their wisdom over mine. I now realize that it was just less work for the contract-installer as he likely would not have benefited (much or at all) from the additional labor of putting in new padding. I might be wrong about motivations but at the very least we had different standards of what "like new" feels like. Admittedly, didn't look beat up but it was very worn and I feel he should have known better. It doesn't "bounce back" at all. I should have chosen new pads because it doesn't feel clean or soft or "brand new" like I wanted and it's been a disappointment. Also, I was told it's standard installation that they don't clean up the carpet fibers that are everywhere from cutting and saw dust from the wood floors. So we had a fair bit of vacuuming and mopping to do before we could move in. I thought for 18K leaving move in ready flooring would be a courtesy - but I am a "noob" when it comes to this kind of thing so it might be a misplaced criticism. All that being said, I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again. I did like them a lot. I made my own choices and learned some consumer lessons. My advice? With replacing carpet, just go all the way and get new padding. You won't regret it.

Loved working with these folks, Krystal especially. She was very accommodating even as I changed my mind many, many times! She helped me to decide which type of flooring would be best for my house. Ordered it, followed the order until it reached the warehouse, and emailed me when it arrived. Perfect. Love the flooring! Thanks!
