My name is Don Cull. I am the owner of Caribou Home and Cottage Builders. I have been in business since 1999. From the very beginning, I have asked every question that I could think of, from every professional tradesperson all the way to the home or business owner, to make the buildings I have worked on, the very best, no matter what the clients' budget. I pride myself on learning and understanding the newest building methods while staying proficient in the use of historically proven tools to provide the highest quality craftsmamship in every building situation. In the fast paced world of home building today, the focus seems to be on speed and profit with no regard for quality or longevity. The 'big' builder/developers tend to have their projects bid on by subtrades, leaving no room for the tradesperson to take the time to do things right. The end user (homeowner), moves in to their 'new' home and very soon the issues come to the surface. I want to build homes, that are built with the quality that I expect when I spend MY hard earned money. I have researched and designed a building system that will keep energy costs low while providing a safe, sound and secure home for the very deserving home owner. The best part, is that it adds very little to the building cost. I oversee every aspect of my projects, from excavation to final paint finishes. I do not rush any part of the building process. In allowing tradespeople to do their job without being rushed, it minimizes oversites and reduces the chance for mistakes and extra costs to the client.
