Platinum Pools

Our experience with Platinum Pools has been great – the entire team was really easy to work with. Chris saw our project from the beginning into these final stages and has made the whole process stress free. Chris’s communication is what makes him in my opinion, shine in his role – he always responds timely and thoroughly, which is so important to me! We are thankful he was assigned our pool and know he will give other customers the same great experience he gave us.

What a Remarkable Journey! I want to extend a massive shoutout to Platinum Pools and their exceptional team. Sales and Design: Embarking on my first pool project, I was understandably apprehensive due to tales of challenging build experiences. However, Buddy, who handled the sales and design aspects, was an absolute gem. He not only sold me on the dream but also patiently accommodated multiple design tweaks. Buddy's expertise and insightful recommendations made the entire process smooth sailing. Construction: Anthony, my project manager, was a beacon of reassurance throughout the construction phase. His composed demeanor alleviated any concerns I had, as he meticulously ensured the project stayed on track, adhered to specifications, and maintained constant communication with me. Despite my initial lack of understanding regarding the construction process, Anthony patiently guided me through each step, leaving me with no doubts about the eventual outcome. His repeated assurance of "It's gonna look good man" proved absolutely true! Scheduling and Operations: Although I didn't have direct contact with the scheduling or operations team, their seamless orchestration of the entire process did not go unnoticed. It was evident that Platinum Pools operated like a well-oiled machine, with every aspect of design, scheduling, and trade coordination expertly handled by a proficient team. Their efficiency and expertise were palpable and greatly appreciated. Pool School: The pool school session, conducted by the knowledgeable team, was invaluable in acquainting me with my new pool. They patiently walked me through each aspect, clarifying its function and operation. Initially overwhelmed, I soon found myself at ease as they demystified every component. A heartfelt thanks to the entire Platinum Pools team for their dedication and for delivering an outstanding end product!

I cannot say enough good things about Arturo. We have had a few challenges since getting our Pool relating to equipment, and Arturo provided outstanding service. He answered all of our questions and calm us down, and consistently solve the problems. Really can’t say enough about his attitude, demeanor, responsiveness, and just overall knowledge. Very refreshing and not very common these days.

We have had an excellent working experience, starting with Nick Sacco, then Chris Reyes, the Construction Manager, has been truly awesome to work with. Nick was always available to answer any queries we may have had, even during the construction and post construction phases of the pool. Getting our pool done by platinum pools was the best decision we could have made. The initial consult and design process was seamless and easy. When it came to actual construction we could not have been any more pleased. The quality of the pool and the price were right in line with what we wanted going in (about $50k cheaper than the closest bid for the essentially the same specs). If I’m being honest, my wife and I severely underestimated the complexities of a pool build, but our project manager Chris and the team at Platinum worked with us at each unexpected curve. We would have liked to see some more automated updates about what was happening when, but aside from a few minor adjustments we are looking to finish ahead of schedule. As with any construction project, there are frustrations and annoyances, but in the end we were always heard out and responded to.

Chris Reyes was the project manager for the pool construction at my home - first time pool owner. He and Ian Espada, the lead designer, were awesome to work with. Very helpful with their advices and responsive. Highly recommend the amazing team at Platinum Pool.

We had a vision and that vision was brought to life by Ian Espada! We did not want just a hole in the ground...we wanted to expand our living space into the outdoors!! Since completion in late 2019 and COVID-19 ahead, we spent plenty of time in the backyard and still do!...by the fire, in the hot tub watching TV, playing with the kids! working that Tan! You always hear horror stories about people's pool building experiences, but mine was not that. It was a great experience start to finish. I was referred by a friend of mine who had Platinum build their pool. Our sales person, Ian, was wonderful, very knowledgeable and patient. Our project manager, Anthony, was very attentive and responsive. The pool was actually finished ahead of the scheduled timeline, thanks in part to very few weather delays, but also to Anthony staying on top of the contractors. Overall, we are very satisfied with the way the pool turned out and would recommend Platinum Pools.

Our pool was completed in 30 days and the team at platinum did a great job. Something we’d not really thought about was the level of communication and support they’d provide throughout the process (there at a lot of steps, inspections, and activities!) and here they really were excellent. Mark kept in touch with us right the way through and Chris our project manager was fantastic… he would come by so often at 7am to check on everything it became a bit of a running joke between us… kept us informed at every step and was 100% available for anything we’d need.

Our experience with Platinum was great. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality pool. Team: The Platinum team (primarily Nick Sacco in design and Chris Reyes in construction) were great to work with. There were very few issues, but when one did arise, they handled it quickly and effectively. Chris was very good about keeping construction flowing and keeping us up-to-date along the way. Construction Schedule/Process: The pool construction went very fast. There was very little down time between trades and they often worked weekends. The Platinum process is very organized and they make it very clear what is happening as you go through construction. One thing they could improve is their up-front scheduling estimates and milestone schedules. The durations in these are extremely conservative and not even close to how our pool was actually built (which was way faster). They may be trying to under-promise and over-deliver, or the schedules may be from a time when they were much busier, but I really think they need to dial those in. We were very close to going with another pool builder because their schedule was so much faster than the one we received from Platinum at the beginning. I would not be surprised if they lose business over this. Quality: Overall, the pool quality is very good. They do a lot of stuff "standard" that other pool builders likely do not do. Platinum is probably not the low-cost provider, but you get what you pay for in this case. In particular, the tile and coping sub (Aguilar Stone) was incredible. Our design required a lot of complicated porcelain work, including a ton of mitered edges. Their team was extremely meticulous and the end result was amazing. If there was one aspect that was just "good-enough" it was the sand-set porcelain decking. It doesn't look bad by any means, but the joints are a little hit or miss and some of the details aren't quite what we wanted/expected. If I were doing it again, I would have spent the extra money on a concrete base rather than sand-set.

Chris Reyes did an excellent job managing our pool construction from start to finish. It was completed in 29 days - a month ahead of schedule. Everything went smoothly and we were kept informed every step of the way. Additionally, our backyard was kept neat and clean throughout the entire process. I highly recommend using Platinum Pools and Chris Reyes for anyone considering a pool. I give Chris Reyes 5 stars for a job well done! Thank you!

I called Chris McKay to get a plan for our future pool. From the moment I contacted Platinum Pools, the process has been seamless! Chris contacted me immediately and we set up an appointment for him to look at the back yard and get my ideas. He took our ideas and designed a beautiful pool. We then set a zoom call to ask questions and make adjustments. We even made him go the extra mile to design an additional pool with us showing a different spa. He handled our requests in a timely fashion and always with a smile. Last Monday, we met Chris to pick out our tiles, etc. to be used in the pool and spa. He gave us great feedback and lots of ideas. We spoke to five different pool companies and Chris with Platinum Pools was , by far, the most professional! They are “systems oriented”, their warranties are all “in house” ; and they are local. We worked with Platinum to build a pool at our home, and specifically with Chris Reyes as our project manager. Full disclosure, I have a background in project management so I’m naturally critical in working with any contractor. The experience was nothing but exceptional. Chris was organized, responsive, proactive on all communication, and incredibly thorough. So thorough, in fact, that we finished our project with zero punch items. He was on site at each major milestone and caught a few issues immediately. In turn, those very few issues were sorted immediately and smoothly. Platinum Pools did a wonderful job with our pool/spa installation. Harrison was our sales manager who took all of our questions and input to create a clean, simple design that we wanted. I never felt any pressure for add-ons or upgrades from him or anyone else. Once the build begin, the handoff was to Anthony, who took us all the way through the project. He was always responsive and available for any questions or concerns. He kept us informed of progress and timing for upcoming milestones. The project was slightly behind due to some weather and the holidays, but also because of some of our own indecision. I might say that Platinum Pool is one of the best retail experiences I’ve ever had. Everything from the start to finish was amazing. We chose and trusted Platinum Pool Services, above other entities, to construct our pool and transform our backyard. This was a very detailed process, and we felt the knowledge, professionalism, and capability of this company was far beyond what others had to offer. Nick, David, and the team are truly service experts and bend over backwards to make sure we were happy. The construction crew did phenomenal work, cleans up the site as much as possible every day when they leave, and take obvious pride in doing the job right. PSA for anyone that’s in the market or soon to be in the market for a pool builder, do not use Platinum Pools (Cody Pools). This is a precursor to my full review…do NOT use them. Unless, of course, you want to be your own Project Manager and beg for subcontractors to return to CORRECT the damages they cause. But then, if you’re willing to do that, might as well just hire your own subs and do it yourself saving thousands of dollars and months of headaches.

We just finished building our pol and my experience has been positive. Nick from sales and Anthony the project manager have been great. they are easy to reach and are always responsive. the process went on time without delays and the final result is exactly as promised. we are happy and we hope to enjoy this pool for many years to come.

Over the years, I have been involved with several construction/remodeling projects and I have never had a project go as smoothly and professionally as my experience with Platinum Pools. Platinum Pools designed and built our pool, spa, outdoor structure, and outdoor kitchen. They did an excellent job constructing all of our projects. Chris Reyes was our project manager and main point of contact. He did a great job at keeping us updated on the progress and ensuring constant communication throughout the entire process. Although the project was lengthy and at times stressful, Chris did a great job troubleshooting our issues and getting line of sight to potential future disruptions. My wife & I spoke with 8 -10 pool companies about our pool project. Most companies were questionable, displayed very little interest & failed to get back to us via phone, text or e-mail. In addition, most of the other pool companies had bad reviews. Platinum Pools was, by far, the most professional, honest & tentative company we dealt with. Platinum Pools was not the cheapest, but they are proving to be the best! Our project got held up immediately with my HOA failing us all, numerous times. Kelly & Breann worked closely with us, stayed in close communication & together we solved the first obstacle, the paperwork/permit process that was thwarted by my HOA……Now, the actual pool project is getting started, Thanks to Kelly Gott & Breann. We will provide an update reviewing the build process as things progress!

If you are looking to install a pool, I highly recommend Platinum Pools. Look, pools are an investment and it’s important to hire one of the top pool builders around. Schedule some time with one of the best designers Kelly Gott. He will pay attention to your wish list and even recommend a few extras that will add to your backyard oasis. The fine detail will not go unnoticed. After design, you will get a project manager. I highly recommend David Bandy. He will be with you every step of the way and will always take your calls. I have completed several remodel projects in my life and received exceptional service/communication from companies that I recommend all the time. Their exceptional service had nothing on Chris. I never experienced a GC that responded as quickly, finished ahead of schedule and did everything when they said and how they said as Chris did. One of the advantages of having a GC is them checking sub work and holding them accountable which reduces the burden on the customer. Until Chris, even my best GCs missed something I would have to call their attention to. That was not the case with Chris. I really feel he gave my pool the attention he would give to his own. Before I would inspect progress, he would already have imperfections marked up and being addressed even noticing things that I personally did not. If I move and build another pool, I will ask for Chris by name. I literally couldn’t be happier.

Their communication is very poor. They are not good at following the schedule. After the last payment they simply stopped returning my calls and SMS. The pool is finished. I liked the end result but I would not hire them again.

Doug was an exceptional project manager! Upon meeting Doug, he was very thorough and walked us through the process of the build and assured us he would deliver the pool and deliver the pool early, if possible. Throughout the build, Doug was responsive and reliable. When I would called Doug with questions he would have already been by the house and was on top of whatever the concern was at the time or would stop by the next morning. I am so thrilled we had an opportunity to work with Doug as the project manager, he is definitely an asset to Platinum. If you do not get Doug as your project manager, request him, you will not be disappointed and you will likely get your pool delivered EARLY. My pool was delivered a month in advance, thank you Doug!

Platinum pools has been wonderful to work with. We’d heard horror stories from other people about other pool companies and we really wanted to not have a stressful experience. While there were some hiccups (when are there not in construction?!), they were handled professionally and expeditiously by Platinum. Our construction manager Doug was very responsive and quickly addressed concerns. In addition, after the completion of the project, Platinum Pools was easy to work with in making some of the corrections that were needed at the end and didn’t argue with us or ghost us (a problem I’ve heard commonly from other companies). Overall they’ve made the experience a very good one!

If I could I'd give no stars. The sales process with Buddy was great. He was attentive, answered questions, and we felt comfortable with most everything. Our pool is on the side of our house, our equipment is in a custom built room for it so it wont' be an eyesore (or so that was the hope and the planning). Our problems began early on with platinum saying they couldn't measure the area because there was dirt around ... waited weeks trying to get people out there to level and finally the pool companies own recommended person said we didn't need to do that at all, miraculously after we told them that they came out and measured as is (stall tactic IMO). Next was the actual dig where we had huge issues. Our neighbor graciously allowed them access to use their driveway for what we were told was to bring the digging machine into our yard. They used our neighbors driveway to not only bring the machine in but to remove dirt out and made the driveway filthy. They scraped the big mud off but the driveway was still dirty from all the caked on mud and then they left. Our neighbors were furious as where we. They said their policy is to clean it only much later in the project (our neighbors driveway?) seriously? What happened to borrowing something and returning it the way it was - not so with platinum. *Sensitive Information Hidden*. My wife had to buy a pressure washer that day and come back and spent hours pressure washing my neighbors driveway to make it clean. Platinum also cut the internet cable to my neighbors house and destroyed the grass in their property where they were driving back and forth across. Next came one of the worst issues-- plumbing. The plumbers were bad. They put in pipes that you couldn't turn (glued shut or too close together), they put the pipes in front of the door for the equipment so you couldn't open the door, they pipes were not properly pushed in on some spots (they need to fit tightly and correctly not bent or partially in). The plumbers came back 3 times to fix their issues each time we waited days or longer between visits. Then came tile & coping -- The tile on the top part was "hand" cut piece by piece and was done so bad that almost no pieces were the same size, many were not level. It was a joke... the quality of that job could have been done by me & I've never cut tile before. I complained & sent pics with levels showing out of aligment and more. They came back - the guy free hand cut them smaller in place -- it made it better but still not right, came out a third time again (days or longer between visits) they free hand cut this time with a chalk line - much better. Where's platinum's quality? Non existent - why? we had Casey as our manager - horrible. Hardly ever saw him, complained about his lack of communication to upper management -- just horrible. Many more issues but at the limit of this review! Use at your own risk!

Platinum pools was great to work with. Chris Reyes very attentive to our concerns and was extremely communicative. Chris and the Platinum Pools team were very efficient in the entire process. Mark Wyner did a wonderful job designing the pool to fit our needs and unique backyard. Johnny Patterson made pool school straight forward and was extremely helpful. Platinum Pool exceeded all expectations with our pool and backyard. The design process was smooth and detailed. The entire construction process was on time with very few delays. Every person that we interacted with was professional and responsive. We went through several pool contractors for design ideas and quotes. We finally settle on Platinum Pools as several people we knew had nothing but good comments about them. We had heard so many horror stories from friends and neigbours about bad pool construction projects that we were very weary and careful when making our selection. Platinum was one of the few companies that were open and willing to discuss and design several options for our backyard. Other companies seemed pushy with designs that worked for them and were not willing to provide different designs. We worked with Harrison Veith, and he had many great suggestions to improve the design and practicality of the pool (along with a few cost saving suggestions. The construction phase was also very smooth, and was on time. They were also willing to work with an external contractor that we had selected for the patio and outdoor kitchen. Platinum pools has been incredible to work with. They have been responsive and communicative. Harrison Veith designed our pool and was friendly and detailed oriented. He was quick to turn over multiple drafts until we found the perfect design. Our project manager Chris Reyes checked in multiple times a week throughout our project. He sent us updates at every stage about where we were at and what was to come. He was thorough in his inspection of the work done at each step and was able to notice anything that was missing or not up to his standard and get it corrected (often before we even noticed). He was patient with all questions and gave thorough explanations for everything we asked. We are very glad we went with Platinum and are looking forward to years of enjoyment from our pool and spa.

Platinum was great to work with from start to finish. Mark helped us design a fantastic pool, and Chris completed the project a full month ahead of schedule. Our experience builing our 1st pool was quite pleasant despite all the unknowns. Sean,our salesman was a great commuicator. We had weekly meetings and he answered every call and text. Doug,our project manager was very professional and competent.

My pool building experience was good for the most part. Chris Reyes (project manager) and Harrison Veith (designer) were both very responsive to questions and texts, and stayed on top of things. My one complaint about the design experience is that no one talked to me about putting in different seating levels for the hot tub. This is my first pool/spa and I don’t think that is something I should have been expected to know. The bench in my spa is all one level. I’m 5’7” and the water comes to the middle of my neck. I don’t find that ideal, and I guess anyone shorter will drown, need a booster seat? My experience with the crews was that they’re all subs and all but one treated my yard like a giant trash can.

We love our Platinum Pool. Ian Espada went above and beyond as our designer and sales guy, He was a great listener and designed the pool our of dreams. He was great throughout the process and really kept us informed. Anthony, our project manager also did great with communicating and fixing any issues that arose during the construction. Platinum Pools creates a quality product. Erika, was great at scheduling and communicating. We are happy we chose them to create our backyard paradise.

Chris McKay did a great job with helping us plan and design the pool. Even pointing out things to help us with what we were planning in the future. Michael Troxell was a great project manager. He made sure everything moved steady and was able to get our pool done ahead of schedule. A truly fantastic experience all around.

Platinum Pools completed my pool this summer, on schedule. Nick Sacco helped us create the design of the pool we wanted and explained every detail of the process. What an amazing experience!! I contacted Platinum Pools when we were ready to begin our remodel on our existing pool. They were super professional on the phone and came out to do an inspection and a walk around within a couple of days. Mike was our sales representative. He was thorough and knowledgeable. He set everything up for us to come look at samples in the show room and provided us an extremely fair price. Shae took care of all of the details and kept us informed of start dates and what to expect. Josh was our remodel supervisor who came out daily to inspect the work that had been done. Everyone who works for platinum pools has been top notch and has gone over and beyond. From start to finish this is by far the most professional and thorough pool companies I have ever dealt with.

I started my pool process in January. Buddy was my sales rep and he was amazing. I had a certain budget that I wanted to stay under and he made it happen! He called me weekly to check on things and make sure everything was going as planned. David was my number one go to guy! I called him about everything and he answers every single time! We had a few mishaps along the way which is inevitable due to the weather and things being out of our control. However, they were superior! I can definitely see why they have the best scores. If I ever did a pool again, I will definitely rehire them for the job! I recommend this company! I love them! My pool is gorgeous and I get complements daily!

Before we started our build I picked out 7 companies - 3/4s of them showed up for an evaluation, of those 3/4, and of that only one individual stood out - Ian. He not only took the time to listen to my family's needs and concerns he designed something elegant and functional in a seeming impossible yard. Ian took a really complex build and made it make sense for my family and our needs: designing a pool that fit our little ones with special needs up to our crazy teenagers. He took a safety-first / family-first approach with us and has been with us the whole way. The project was anything but small, we had seriously complex needs, and the canvas he had to work with was less than ideal (he dealt with an 8ft grade from one side of the yard to the next). The project wasn't without its challenges, and missteps, but I always felt that Platinum, Ian, Anthony, RT, Rebecca, and all of the others involved helped make a seriously complex project come out to a beautiful conclusion. We've still got a few things to wrap up with our build (partly because I wanted a change at the last minute - which they graciously addressed and some other small items) but I cannot recommend them enough - they took a lot of the uncertainty and scary out of this project for us!

Platinum pools did an excellent job on our pool. We initially met with Josh King and he assigned us our project manager. Our project manager, Jordan, was always quick to answer our questions and take care of our needs. Our pool was complete in 3 months which was right on target. We were very pleased with the process and we are enjoying our pool immensely. They even sent us burgers for our first BBQ!

Chris was a great construction manager for our project. Despite juggling multiple contractors on multiple projects at different points in the construction process, Chris was very communicative every step of the way and really pushed our project through. He also was super helpful and thorough in answers all the questions I had (there were a lot!). I would definitely recommend Chris for another project .

Platinum just finished our pool in time for summer and we love the end result. Aside from taking a little longer than expected, which is normal for any construction project right now, we are happy with the process and are excited to use the pool. Our designer, Ian Espada did a great job of turning our backyard vision into a reality. Chris Reyes came in as our project supervisor in the middle of construction and did a great job getting the remaining items finished quickly. Chris even went out of his was a few times to make sure everything was done right and quickly.

My design consultant was Ian. I cannot say enough great things about Ian. He was available to meet with us as many times as it took to get our design the way we wanted it. Very patient, knowledgeable, and very professional. Our pool construction began November 2021. Project Manager was Michael. Michael was a pleasure to work with as he would send us email every Sunday as to what we would expect the following week. He would come check on the work after each phase was complete. Pool was completed February 15, 2022. I could not be more happy with the dynamic duo team I had. Ian and Michael were simply the BEST! Thank you PLATINUM POOLS for making us a fantastic pool.

These guys are fabulous! Super professional, clear upfront conversations to let you know what to expect from them as a company and what to expect and what to possibly expect if they ran into any roadblocks along the way., AND what. They expect from you in regards to getting your yard prepared for them to start and when they expect their payments. They had an installment plan in place, which they discuss with you in detail when you sign the agreement. !They are willing to take on more difficult jobs , We live right in the city, not a lot of space between the houses, we worked with the neighbour to use her driveway to access our yard. (She was very gracious). They were respectful of our neighbors needs and concerns and cleared her driveway of any equipment or supplies every day. They were here when they said they would be, quite often earlier, which was great! They finished ahead of schedule. which is unheard of in construction. Lol! Highly recommend Platinum Pools!

We had an excellent experience with Platinum pools. They were very transparent, accommodating and in-fact came twice to re-dig the pool when it caved in due to rains without charging us any extra money. We are very satisfied with our final product and infact their quote was the most reasonable one. We just purchased our home in fall 2021 and decided to build a pool versus purchasing a home with one. After meeting with several companies, we decided on Platinum Pools because of Harrison V. He walked us through this, not like a salesman where it was all flash etc. but worked with us on answering our questions we had (as we had a laundry list of them) and understand us and what we needed versus a full on sales pitch. This along with him helping us work through the best design to fit our house/yard aesthetically was key for us as it is hard to have to make decisions on a pool that is to supposed to compliment our home to make it look well-designed. Harrison also checked in with us throughout the process and provided us a great project manager - Michael that was always there when we had questions regarding construction etc. It definitely made us feel at ease and excited to say that we are near the finish line with our pool and cannot be happier that we chose Platinum Pools and would highly recommend them, and should ask for Harrison V. and Michael to be the one supporting them.

We just finished a pool with Platinum and I wanted to take the time to give a shout out to our project manager - Chris Reyes. We were having a very frustrating experience with delay after delay and minimal communication. Chris was assigned to our project after our pool was dug and had been sitting idle for a while due to labor shortages. He could sense our frustration and took it upon himself to personally communicate with us daily (good or bad news) so we no longer felt in the dark. At one point we were looking into how to cancel the contract but his support helped us regain confidence in the company. He is a gem and Platinum is lucky to have someone like him who is both extremely knowledgeable and has exceptional customer service skills. I gave the company overall 4 stars but Chris specifically deserves 5+! Make sure to request him if you sign with them!

First off- Chris Reyes is AMAZING. My husband and I were first impressed with Platinum Pool’s design team which led us to eventually choosing them after interviewing multiple other pool contractors. Not only were they the best price for the quality, they also helped us design our dream pool. Ian Espada was great in translating our ideas into a design that made sense for the space and our lifestyle. Once we got the call that the crew was scheduled to break ground, we were super nervous as the start date coincided with the due date of our first baby. We are so grateful to Chris our Project Supervisor for being with us every step of the way. He went above and beyond to respect our schedules and to coordinate everything he could, as quickly as he could, to not interfere with our first few weeks home with a newborn. Regardless of his huge project load, Chris was so informative, helpful, sincere, personable and always available for questions. He even checked on our pool during the historic Houston freeze in Feb 2021 and made sure we were always taken care of from start to finish, and beyond when I have other pool-related questions. Chris absolutely became a friend throughout the process. It’s clear he cares about WHAT he does and WHO he does it for. If you are considering Platinum Pools, they did great but I 100000% recommend you specifically request Chris- he is AWESOME and made our experience a million times better than we ever expected. We finally got our pool after long weeks of bad weather delaying the project, but we made it and we are extremely happy and glad to had Platinum pool guys, the project was amazing, modern look and clean! We loved!

Ian (our designer) was amazing! He listened carefully to what we wanted and created our dream pool. He outlined all of the costs included in the project - including possible hidden costs that might come up as the project proceeded and unforeseen things came up. Raul was the project manager and was very proactive and communicated with us every step of the way. The entire team was very professional and detail oriented. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to build a pool.

I start by saying that I am very pleased with pool that Platinum built for me. The pool looks better than I anticipated and was completed for the price that was in the contract . That being said there are some pluses and minus' that are worth mentioning .First the minuses: 1. There were hidden costs that were not ever discussed with me including: replacing the gates to accommodate the code-required safety locks, the safety locks, upgrades to the gas meter , replacing the hose bibb , repairing both the water line and the electrical conduit damaged by one of Platinum's subs..all of which cost in excess of $10,000 and was an unpleasant surprise 2.Permitting process caused at least a 6 week delay in the very beginning 3. Communication between the subs and the scheduling department was poor as many times I was told to expect crews that didn't show up as well as crews showing up unexpectedly 4.From contract signing to final completion was approximately 8 months which was 2-3 months longer than originally discussed Now for the pluses 1. Platinum employees were all a pleasure to deal with ; Ian was my salesman/designer and was both helpful and friendly. Chris the construction supervisor was extremely conscientious, knowledgeable and patient with his subs who were very independent and hard to manage. He gave me weekly updates and tolerated my somewhat naïve questions. Tasha in scheduling was also very helpful and accommodating. 2. All of the subs were hardworking and diligent. They are all specialists and worked both hard and efficiently 3. The pool looks great and all of the equipment now is finally all working correctly Scot ,thanks to you and good luck in all of your future endeavors

We selected Platinum Pools after many friends had used them, great warranty, and we loved the design. We worked with Chris in the Beaumont office, and he was very helpful on where to put the pool, colors, and got back with me quicker than any other pool company. We made a few changes on things we wanted, they made a great video so we could see what it would look like, and then put down the deposit. Our project managers where Josh, and Jordan. Both where very easy to work with, responsive answering any calls, coming out, and answering any questions we had. There were a few hiccups, but they fixed each one. Just be patient, it does take time from start to finish due to the many things out of platinum's control. Contractors are shorthanded, supplies, etc. They do send updates on progress, and delays due to weather. One other reason I choose them is many of their workers are direct employees of platinum, and the contractors they use they have a good relationship with them. They don't just throw anyone on your project. I have no regret putting in our pool with platinum, and my family loves it.

We were so impressed with the entire process. Incredibly responsive, helpful, patient and the pool turned out perfect. Special thanks to Ian for walking us through the entire process, from our first meeting to completion. Would recommend to anyone!

Our contact for the design and build of the pool, Mark Wyner was nice and responsive. We only had a few issues overall. We built a Platinum pool 6 years ago that turned out beautiful so we decided to use them again with our new pool build. The only disappointment was plaster color. We ordered ocean blue, we were very clear that we wanted a dark blue pool. Late in the build, Mark notified us it was out of stock so we had to re-select. Blue granite was available and I was told it is also dark blue, I was told “slightly” lighter but will be a perfect replacement. Definitely not the case, our pool isn’t dark at all, disappointed with the light color which is more like aqua. The online pictures of Blue granite shows dark blue pools. It turns out, blue granite plaster is more like aquamarine, has a green hue and is light colored. It isn’t close to what we ordered and isn’t a great match with our dark blue water line tile. The pool is still pretty, and I’ve gotten past the light colored plaster. Chris Reyes, the project manager Platinum assigned us did a great job. Chris has been fantastic throughout the entire process. He couldn’t resolve the bigger issue of the wrong plaster color, but he did a great job on his part, was very responsive all the way through and Platinum has good customer service.

We love our pool and there were some bumps and bruises along the way but most of the staff was amazing. There was however Scott who kept bumping heads with my husband on everything. Stressful but three months later we had a nice pool that we use all the time. I wish our pool equipment had been raised though.

When my wife and I contacted Platinum Pools about building our pool, Ian quickly reached out to meet with us. After listening to what we were looking to build, Ian designed a beautiful pool that exceeded our expectations and stayed within our budget. We are very happy with our new pool and recommend Ian and Platinum Pools without hesitation! Ian is a terrific ambassador for Platinum Pools. ADVICE: PATIENCE - the process takes time but it’s worth it. - This was my first pool build, I did significant research on the entire construction process, and I did a RFP on several pool companies, all before choosing Platinum Pools. They did a GREAT JOB.

Last summer I contacted Platinum Pools and linked up with Ian. My wife and I told him we wanted a natural looking tiny pool in which we call a “spuddle" (spa-pool-water puddle.) Tha catch was that we wanted it to blend into our existing landscape and look like it has always been here. He created a video render of the finished project and we immediately said yes. During a time when everyone around the city is building a pool, they managed to pull it all together. We had a few slow-downs and hiccups, but between David (project manager), Ian and the rest of the team things were taken care of and we couldn’t be happier with what we have now. We’ve always loved being in our backyard, but now its a complete oasis thanks to them. If you’re looking into building a pool, I would highly recommend using them. Side note: Pool building is a lengthy process and you will be miserable looking at your backyard seeing a giant hole, mud and chaos. Just try to keep cool and when it’s over you’ll have no regrets!

Pictures posted speak for themselves, but elaboration required: 1. Gunite hole (cesspool) 2. Coping (beautiful) 3. Tile at waterline (pretty) 4. Stone around spa and fire pit (gorgeous) 5. Rock formation 6. Rebar area (trip hazard) filled with overgrown weed (Freeze killed it, YEAH - one point for the bitter cold!) 7. Pool equipment installed March 2020 (Let’s see if it works when ready) 8. Divots, holes, and tire tracks throughout the yard (unwanted regrading) 9. Lot of EXCUSES & FINGER-POINTING 10. Phone calls, emails, texts, zoom calls, headaches, stress, exhaustion, and..., NO POOL If $92,411.17 didn’t knock you off your feet, here’s the kicker..., pool project with PLATINUM POOLS initiated December 30, 2019 (1 YEAR & 4 MONTHS AGO)!!! BACKYARD OR OUTDOORS NOT USED (mosquito infestation) FOR 15 MONTHS and counting. Yes, I know COVID-19 crept upon us in March 2020 and wreaked havoc. Hmmm..., from my understanding, that was a busy year for many pool companies. What happened to my “BACKYARD OASIS”???????? Stay tuned, I have at least 15 more posts (month-by-month rendition starting from December 2019) of ups and downs with PLATINUM POOLS. MY EXPECTATION: Platinum Pools to complete the job that was started on December 30, 2019. Platinum Pools have been paid 90% of the contract agreement.

Arturo was great! Very helpful, went above and beyond, patiently and generously answering questions that were beyond the immediate scope of the service visit. He's a great representative for the company and just a cool guy in general.

Could not be any happier with my experience with Platinum Pools. From the way the pool turned out, to the communication and Quality that was provided. Chris designed our pool to fit my yard and it came out fantastic and called once a week to check on me/ the progress. Josh the project manager was there to make sure the quality of the work was up to mine/ Platinum Pools standards. He is very helpful still to this day. Tasha contacted me to make sure everything was done or if anything needed to be done. She was helpful with any questions as well. I want to give a shout out to Shelley and Ruben in the service department. I called several companies and it would take weeks for them to come out or they didn’t even return my call. When I called Platinum Pools, Shelley contacted me the same day and Ruben came out the following week to give me a quote for a new heater. Very easy and appreciated!

We had been wanting a pool for a long time and after purchasing a new house, we set up an appointment for a pool company to come out and see what they could do. That company never showed up and ghosted us worse than your last tinder date. On the bright side, it started us down a path in what turned out to be the best decision either of us has ever made - besides that first date together. I came across Platinum Pools and after looking through the website, requested to be contacted. The next day we had a call and scheduled an appointment with Scott. Scott came by and took a look at everything, and began guiding us through the process. We never felt pressured or like we were being sold anything - he was straightforward and told us exactly what we could expect and what the possibilities could be. Within 24 hours he had a 3d model of what our pool would look like and gave us a few different options that worked within our budget. Speaking of budgets, be sure you are realistic with yourself on what pools cost and what add-ons you view as nice to have vs must have. We fully expected to never hear from Scott again once the paperwork was signed, but he did a fantastic job of keeping in touch - but not in one of those, ' I'm forced to contact you once per week' kind of ways. He was an incredible guide from start to finish, offering input and being there for any questions we had. This man literally took the dream pool we had in our heads, designed it, improved it, and made it come true. Platinum Pools did an incredible job in the construction and were incredibly accommodating with a few minor tweaks we needed during construction. Like any construction project, you can expect a minor hiccups or delays (rain for a freaking week straight... thanks Houston), but Rebecca did a fantastic job of keeping us informed the whole way and answering my dizzying array of inane questions. Once completed, our construction manager, Clint gave us an incredible tour around our pool and equipment in pool school. He helped explain everything so that even as a first time pool owner we felt confident like old pros. This man is a wealth of knowledge! Overall, I recommend doing yourself a favor - stop reading my long winded review and get in touch with my boy, Scott, the dream maker, and ask him to make your backyard dream a reality!

The whole process from the original design phase with Nick to the completion with Raul was handled professionally and to our fullest satisfaction. The construction was completed several weeks ahead of schedule and every single step was conducted as promised. Every crew, and there were many, performed according to plan and concerns and suggestions from our side were dealt with swiftly and implemented as proposed. A pool is a major investment and having a professional company of the highest quality doing the job put our mind at ease and we are very proud of the completed project. Platinum Pools built my pool in 2004 and we are still enjoying it today. I just had Johnny, one of their Service Techs, come to fix my heater and pool light. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and ON TIME! He called me to let me know when he was on his way and called me to go over his work. I was very impressed by that. Platinum Pools did a fantastic job listening to our needs from designing to the finished project. We weren’t sure if we would have room for a pool in our backyard and still have space to entertain people. They designed a fantastic layout and now it feels like we have added an entire outdoor room to our house! One of my favorite features is that it’s self cleaning so we don’t have the little machine running around the pool. It just constantly looks calm, peaceful and ready to jump in!

We couldn’t be happier with Platinum Pools! We were looking for a pool company with credibility and staying-power... Platinum is professional, responsive, and I’m confident they will continue to stand behind their work for a long-time to come. Specifically, Mark Wyner was outstanding in the design and sales process. We gave him a “brain dump” of our likes and dislikes - then within 48 hours he had the design for our dream pool complete! He designs to fit your needs and is realistic about what add-ons are recommended or not necessary. Pricing was transparent and they stuck to it.

We interviewed several pool companies and chose Platinum because they disclosed potential fees for moving water and electrical lines. Another reason I give Platinum a 5 star rating is they stand behind their work. We started seeing some issues with the plaster staining after only a year and Platinum hired a new plaster company to completely redo our pool and it looks great. If you have heard horror stories about pool companies not living up to their promises, I recommend you go with Platinum Pools.

Platinum Pools came highly recommended by a friend. They were certainly not the cheapest, but the quality is amazing and we wanted a company that we could rely on and who has a proven track record. We started talking with them in January 2017, before we had even purchased our house. Their service and quality was excellent. Danny Colicci was our Designer/Sales and Dave Mundheim was our Project Manager. Both were great to work with and kept us informed of all steps along the way. Danny helped get HOA approval and designed the perfect pool for our family. Dave communicated regularly during the construction process and kept us abreast daily of progress. I also like their ProEdge online system where you can stay up to date on the construction. We absolutely love our pool and use it daily. The only complaint is the follow up service since completion of the pool. After they "handed us the keys" and finished construction, I did not receive any follow ups to see if we had questions, make sure things were working OK, ask if we liked it, etc. I think they should do a better job post-construction, but other than that, we are extremely happy with our selection of Platinum.

Sales: Mark Wyner Construction: Dave Mundheim Overall, We are happy with our pool and the final project. There were bumps along the way but, nothing that wasn't resolved satisfactorily. Mark Wyner designed our pool and did a great job with that work. Our project required CenterPoint to raise our power line to comply with code. Mark could have done a better job detailing that process and setting our expectations. I got involved directly with CenterPoint and the issue was resolved. However, I believe if you're spending your hard earned money, Platinum should be on top of every detail; good or bad. Our construction supervisor was Dave Mundheim. Dave did a great job for us and I would request him if you plan to work with Platinum. He is a no nonsense type of guy which may rub some the wrong way but, I appreciate that in people. I always got a straight answer from him and he stuck to what he said he would do and when he would do it. He went out of his way to ensure we were pleased with his build and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Support: Platinum has been easy to work with and we would work with Mark and Dave again. Ultimately the finished product is what matters and we are very happy with the end result. From concept to design to materials we were very happy. Through construction there were some hurdles hat we finally cleared. Mark Wyner was truly fantastic and has suberb communication skills. He was by far the reason we went with Platinum and continue to refer family and friends. Our main issue was the 6 week delay it took and the continually missed commitments from the decking sub contractor. I hope this is being looked into. Our project mgr didn't seem to advocate for us and I had to contact for weekly updates during the delays. Otherwise he was helpful and kept the project moving.

We cannot say enough great things about Platinum Pools! We worked with Mark Wyner and he was professional, accommodating and transparent. The professionalism and quality workmanship that their company provided exceeded our expectations. Mark and Dave (Project Manager) were both on top of the project every step of the way. Their demeanor, patience and willingness to work with us from the design through the construction was unsurpassed. Lynsie, who I believe is a customer service representative, has been so wonderful and followed up with me on any question we had. Everyone we interacted with from the Owner/President down was great to work with. The quality of the work speaks for itself, all of our family and friends that have seen our pool comment on how beautiful it is. I'm currently on the last few days of construction for my pool. Danny Colicci did the design and Sam Pisso manage construction. They have been very helpful at every step of the way. We had some challenges regarding electric lines, and access which they guide us to sort out. The construction schedule has been within plan, despite hitting some bad weather days. This was the first time I get a pool, but it has been quite a smooth process. I should be filling my pool with water later this week!

We are just completing our new pool and have had a great experience with Platinum Pools. Ian Espada was our designer/sales consultant and Sam Pizzo was our project manager. The build has gone very smoothly. They have both been available for my many questions throughout the process. I highly recommend using Platinum and requesting Ian and Sam!

This was the first pool we have ever built. Our pool designer, Mark Wyner was very patient with us as he answered all of our first timer's questions and guided us through the plan and design stage. Our project manager in the field has been Dave Mundheim; and he illustrated a great working relationship with the sub contractors involved in the job. From the beginning, they were very professional and detailed oriented on my interests and concerns. I enjoyed working with Mark at Platinum Pools. This was the first pool for my family and I so we did quite a bit of research. We decided on this company due to a reccomendation of a co-worker and it was the best price for what we wanted in a pool. Our sales person, Mark listened to what we wanted our pool to look like and what our price range was and never tried to push us to purchase something outside of our budget. Although it took a bit longer to complete the pool due to horrible weather, we were still swimming within 3 months. Mark is highly recommended.
