Adam Pools And Spas

I contacted Rich from Adam Pools, Inc. to open my in ground pool for the season on March 31st, 2019. Rich stated he charges $500 for his pool opening service, which I agreed was fair. Rich came out to my house on Tuesday April 2, 2019. He poured liquid chlorinator in the pool (which i was charged for) and alerted me the pump gasket was leaking and needed replacement. I then wrote him a check for the opening service. He left that day with check in hand, instructed me not to touch the pool but to let him know when i could see the bottom of the pool and he would return to vacuum the pool and get it open for the season. On April 21, 2019 I texted Rich stating the pool had turned green and I was not sure what to do. Rich lives about a 1 minute car drive from my house. The next day, Rich drove over to my house, looked at the pool and then left. Rich had not spoken to me, other than to state that he would come look at it. The following day, Rich still had not responded to my messages so I called and left a voicemail. Rich finally returned my phone call stating that he could come back but it would cost me $110/hr to vacuum the pool and get it open. I told Rich that I had paid him for a pool opening service and he had not performed the services we discussed. I asked for my money back and Rich stated he would not return my money. Essentially, I paid this man $500 to come look at my pool and do nothing further. He should have to answer for his predatory tactics. I believe consumers need to be protected from businesses like this. I am not asking for my money back. I am writing this for record purposes. I do believe Adam Pools has an obligation to finish the job that they were paid for.

Great company. They always fix things the right way and they don't charge an arm and a leg to do so.
