The story of my life starts here. I first started working with timber in 1990 when I became an apprentice working for my father’s joinery company in England. This gave me four & a half years of intensive training doing carpentry & joinery at college & on site. I became very useful with my hands & was able to join timber together in all aspects. After ten years working for my father’s joinery & becoming foreman & then manager, I decided that I wanted to start my own carpentry company, helping to construct houses & industrial buildings, starting from the roof & working my way to the bottom, which is what gave me the name for this company, Top 2 Bottom Carpentry Limited. I moved away from England in March 2008, & here I am today with this successful company. Before leaving England, my certification was approved as Level 4 by the NZQA, which is good piece of mind for every customer.

I hired top2bottom to help me deliver a show garden for the NZFGS. I was impressed with the speed of reply to my enquiry and the enthusiasm to work on the project. It was a great week as they helped with the carpentry of the garden, the project has found a lasting home in Alexandra Park, which is excellent news. I thank the team for their hard work and commitment to the design, which was beyond the norm, and they took to it with gusto and embraced the goals of the garden.

Graham and his team did several jobs for us, as e.g. replacing external doors, insulating bay windows... They were professional and very fast with the work being done. Results are amazing and the quality of workmanship is excellent! Highly recommended!

Graham and his team have done a number of jobs for us over the past few years including most recently re-building a jetty and replacing house cladding and a deck. We have always found the workmanship to be excellent. Graham's approach to any job request has has always been professional and, importantly to us, cheerful, helpful and positive. In addition he has always reliably kept to his promised timeline. We will certainly use him for any future work.

Top2Bottom Carpentry did an excellent job renewing all cabinets in our Veterinary Clinic. They worked after hours to minimise the impact on our busy Clinic and got the work done in record time. All cabinets are of high quality. It was an absolute joy to have them help with our renovations. All praise to the workers.

At least you can both rest ashore now that you can entertain people outside with out the possibility of someone falling through the deck!

After having Graham and his Team finish off a deck for us a few years ago I didn't hesitate in getting them again for our garage conversion, this has recently been completed taking a dirty tired looking garage and transforming it into a beautiful work space with French doors that is fully insulated and ready to enjoy. Grahams knowledge and expertise shines through in all aspects of what he does from the quoting process through to advising me on how I can get my desired result as well as recommendations for other firms that I know I will be able to trust. Graham has a strong team of experienced and friendly carpenters. Jobs are planned to the last detail, no surprise extra costs or unrealistic time frames. Work was completed on time with a result that exceeded my expectations. Obviously I will be using this company in the future.

Graham has just completed a large deck for us that flows directly off our family room. It really opens up the space, making it much more usable and links up to our spa. Graham and the team were great, with a good attention to detail and cleaned up really well when they had finished.
