Scythia Tile and Stone

In 1987, Mr. Doxan Sr. left his native country of Romania and immigrated to the United States to escape continuous political persecution by the reigning communist regime. With him, he brought a lifelong experience as a highly skilled stone worker. Raised in the hard working, proud European tradition, he used his vast knowledge of natural stone to successfully tackle projects in Greece and Northern Africa, places with a rich history of quality stone fabrication and installation. He retired in 2005 after working with stone for over 45 years. His son Danny, who worked with him for 18 years, is now running the business and making sure the quality is still there, stronger than ever. After all, you never know when dad might pop in to check up on things! We remain a small, family operation, emphasizing quality over mass production or fast turnout times. We do everything in-house, from templates to fabrication to installation. We believe in paying extra attention to detail as this has a definite impact on how the finished product turns out.
