Tim Gates Decorative Finishes is a decorative painting and faux finishing studio working with interior design firms, architects, contractors and private clients to enhance and transform interior spaces. The studio works closely with the client to conceptualize projects and offers color consulting services. Utilizing the skills and vast experience of professional artists, the studio employs a wide range of finishing techniques and surface treatments to ensure superior results. Glazing, stenciling, gilding and wood graining are some of the finishes the studio offers. Tim has an extensive fine arts background and has worked as a professional artist and decorative painter since 1996 in the San Francisco Bay Area and is now located in Boise, Idaho. As well as decorative painting, Tim is also highly skilled in touch up and restoration work on furniture, flooring, wallpaper and existing decorative finishes and has done extensive restoration and repair work.
