Stacey Bodnaruk is a Canadian, West Coast-based visual artist and photographer who has combined a passion for the Pacific with her art, creative design, photography and interior design background, to create something new called “art-ography”. Swell. Surf. Ocean. Water. Sand. Forest. Mountains... These elements are illuminated in Stacey’s art. A blend of photos, color and textures are intertwined harmoniously to create a unique piece of artwork, each with their own story. Stacey draws inspiration from the mountains and ocean – an influence of power and beauty that she passionately incorporates into both her personal and professional life. The art-ography pieces have been inspired by a collection of photos taken from her home town of Whistler, and from her travels through the mountains and coastlines of British Columbia, as well as Hawaii, Mexico, California, Costa Rica & the Caribbean. The artwork is created from original photos. She blends anywhere from 3-7 photos into one piece to create the final artwork. The artwork gets printed on non-traditional printing methods such as aluminum, wood, and acrylic glass face-mounting which contributes to the beauty and depth of the finished piece. When Stacey began art-ography27, her goal was to create personal artwork that would offer a vibrant, meaningful and dreamlike story all within one image. It all began when she had a vision to create a piece of art that combined her passion for the mountains and the ocean and the beauty of the Pacific North-West. Stacey also provides residential and commercial “artwork design & styling” and consultation. She combines her formal training from Interior Design, with her skills as an artist and photographer, and her multimedia company to create unique artwork that can be customized to match a specific space. Stacey is also known for creating “one-of-a kind” personal artwork, using a selection of a client’s personal photos.
