Priscilla Rocha is a Brazilian-American artist whose work is rooted in the human experience, the relationship with self, and how it reflects onto every other relationship. Through her practice she broadcasts a place of empathy and cultivates a perspective that is extraordinary and ultimately honest. She believes creative expression is the key to understanding and overcoming the heart of living and transforming it into meaning and healing. Priscilla uses art as a language for connection and catalyst for change. She works to uncover poetry through colors in her life and community and holds years of practice in handling, programming, curating, marketing, selling, and sharing art within the spaces she has been a part of. Most of Priscilla’s paintings are from direct observation. With visible strokes, she captures vulnerability as strength in the perhaps overlooked aspects of our collective experience. Priscilla currently works and plays in Bloomington, Indiana. Originally from Brasilia, Brazil, she grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana.
