Fonda Doerre Fine Art

Fonda McMahon Doerre has always had a passion for creating art. Five years ago, Fonda decided to devote herself full time to painting and crafting her unique style. Her body of work and style continue to evolve -- from early structured and controlled still lifes to her current abstracts. Her paintings reflect her love of color and texture -- giving the viewer a sense of peace or joy -- from idyllic landscapes to abstract forests to vibrant still lifes. She paints in oil, acrylic, and mixed media with both brush and palette knife, and the occasional finger smear. Fonda's innate talent has been honed and challenged by studying with nationally-acclaimed artists like Andy Braitman, Peggy Knoll-Roberts, Angela Nesbit, and Curt Butler. Fonda is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She works out of her home studio in Charlotte, NC, where she lives with her husband Karl and children Kaler and Will.
