Painting is about sharing for me. It's about sharing love, sharing stories and sharing happiness. It's about being optimistic about what is on the horizon. My paintings weave together stories from my own life, from the lives of previous generations and from the people I encounter in daily life. It is a distillation that for me generates forward momentum and hope about the future. Hope is contextual and comes in many forms. So too does my art. My art is expressed using both abstract and representational form. Often it is painting but it can also encompass original poetry, photography and found objects. Influences include Miro, Basquiat, Hofmann, de Kooning, Kline and Rauschenberg to name just a few. Home base is in Palo Alto, California. Many thanks for looking!
