A contemporary artist... Growing up in a creative environment I was constantly encouraged to explore and develop my own individual signature style. After studying at the Jacob Kramer College of Art, Leeds… I went on to further studies at The Chelsea School of Art, London, where I specialised in textile design and became particularly influenced by pattern and textural formations through my observations of natural plant and animal forms. … It has always been integral in my creative process… It is my inspiration. The sense of free-flowing motion is captured by the spontaneity of the brush. Capturing flow, colour, movement and light is everything. Its elusive quality can transform a painting… I work using concentrated watercolour inks, handmade papers, dyed silks, pastel, drawing inks and silver leaf to create movement and light. “If literature is expressed with a written vocabulary, then my art is expressed with a visual vocabulary”.
