Brianna Mulvale (Gabet) is a young full time Canadian artist and designer from Georgetown, Ontario. She is happily married to a wonderful and supportive husband who loves what she does and who she is in life. Her love for art and creating began in early childhood and is one of her main inspirations in life. Creating and painting is her everyday pleasure and commitment.
Brianna creates folk art that is fun and whimsical, with a little bit of funk. Sweet characters inhabit a charming hilly land. The delightful paintings are chock full of a winsome collection of houses, hills, hot air balloons, scarecrows, horses, dogs, cows and cats, kites, kids, and snowmen. Her use of vibrant colours creates an enchanting world that draws you in.
Also, In her efforts to be eco friendly she uses the dried left over paint gathered from her paint tray after each folk art piece and reuses them to create her unique alternative style of recycled paintings. One day while Brianna was painting and cleaning off her paint tray into the garbage, she thought to herself, what a waste; so instead of throwing out the dry pieces, she decided to start collecting them. This is what started her recycled paintings. Some pieces are nearly 100% constructed out of recycled paint with touches of fresh paint added for blending, shading and consistency. Other pieces are nearly full paintings with smaller areas containing recycled materials. Every piece takes time through the artistic process of painting in addition to the pain staking task of scraping the paint tray carefully with a knife, then hand tearing, cutting and reshaping or molding the recycled pieces into the form she desires. Brianna allows freedom in selecting the pieces, but practices precision when meticulously laying each piece down on the canvas. This is a truly unique style of art.
