Aaron Bowles Art

Aaron Bowles is a contemporary abstract painter whose themes involve the environment, the dramatic qualities of nature, and personal mythologies. His art includes landscape and figurative motifs that feature compositional abstraction with a colorist's aesthetic. A native Virginian, Aaron graduated with a degree in graphic design and illustration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He continued his art education at the graduate level by studying drawing and painting at George Mason University. A former assistant professor of design, he has taught at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College. He has shown at a number of art centers and festivals in the mid-atlantic region, and is represented in several galleries. His work may be found at www.abowles.com.
