Taylor Plosser Davis, Architect, LLC

Taylor began her architectural career in New York City, where she collaborated on projects ranging from multi-family housing to boutique retail and urban design. Her work there and here in Birmingham as a residential architect in private practice has focused on the idea that buildings are more than their structures and finishes. Buildings can tell our stories, as they reflect how we live and what we love. Since starting her own Birmingham architecture practice in 2009, Taylor’s work has centered on families. As a mother, she is keenly familiar with how space needs change as families change, and her approach as an architect is driven by a sincere delight in helping families invest in new spaces that tell their unique story. As a student of architectural history, Taylor has an appreciation and understanding of all sorts of design vocabularies, and her designs are not constrained to a particular style or trend. Rather, her design process relies on intimate collaborations with her clients. Through those relationships, she seeks to create simple and elegant design solutions which are well-crafted and attentive to details that enhance both function and delight.
