SAKdesign is an Architectural, Design & Surveying company founded by Chartered Building Surveyor Simon Kettle. Simon has a broad range of experience having worked in both rural private practice and national corporate businesses and has developed an extensive knowledge of many aspects of the property industry. With more than 25 years’ professional experience his roles have included architect, developer, building & land surveyor, engineer, valuer and legal advocate & expert witness. At SAKdesign we believe that good design can improve everyday life and needn’t cost the earth. Design is not just about how a building looks but also about how it works. Knowledge of all factors affecting a property during its lifetime is essential to make any project a true success. Far too many Architects & Designers ignore the details which can make a real difference to building owners and occupants and simply aim to obtain permissions to build, whereas our experience ensures our designs make your home better, not just bigger. SAKdesign offers a wide range of services to deal with all aspects of property development and can tailor these services to your specific requirements although we are always happy to discuss individual requirements, no matter how unusual, and with our extensive range of experience are able to offer a ‘one stop shop’ for all your property needs We appreciate that costs are an important factor in any development we aim to provide value for money by removing the many potential problems of building before they arise by creating accurate and workable drawings to clearly set out how best to achieve the client brief. We feel that precise design and planning of any development project is vital to its success and as every project is different and it is not possible to provide a set price list for our services. We therefore offer a free initial consultation in order to identify your needs and tailor our services accordingly. We can then provide an estimate of our fees for your clear understanding before our appointment.
