__APPROACH TO DESIGN__ Kevin Schweizer grew up with a passion for the architecture that surrounded him. Through the life and work of his father, Nils Schweizer, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, Kevin became committed to organic architecture, which is a philosophy of architecture that promotes harmony between human habitation and the natural world through design approaches. Kevin’s design is an expression of creative inspiration that germinates from site and client variables. This organic design method results in each project being “fitted” to the “God given” qualities of each site and to the needs of the owner. This adds value to the user’s life style as the built environment reacts to the natural systems that surround, such as wind, sun, vegetation, and views. Energy consumption and production of each project is also internalized into the organic design methodology, allowing for the implementation of passive and active sustainable designs. __DESIGN STYLE__ Kevin’s work employs complex and organic forms to create a seamless integration with the natural landscape. His design expresses the essence of natural building materials, while harmoniously blending industrial building materials, which creates truthful and timeless architecture.
