Design Haus is an award winning RIBA chartered practice offering residential design throughout the UK. We work with clients on projects ranging from extensions and period conversions through to contemporary new builds. We provide 3D visualisation via Virtual Reality (VR) and other innovative presentation techniques throughout the design process. Focusing on 3D visualisation and a unique VR presentation allows clients to truly experience the finished project long before building work has begun. Clients can explore their future home, specify lighting and materials, and see their home at different times of day and in different weather conditions. This allows them to understand the design completely and gives them a real opportunity to contribute to the design process.

We first consulted James in the spring of 2015 to help us with an extension to our existing house. (Although there were 3 years between the initial consultation and completion of the build, this was influenced by our decision to choose exactly a start date and also the availability of our chosen builder.) James' brief was to bring more light into the house and create a space from which we could enjoy the garden. His first design was impressive and we thought just what we were looking for, however he went away and after a rethink presented a design which we consider to be spectacular and which has provided us with a living space which far exceeds our initial expectations. Throughout the design process James was always supportive and was a good listener, which is why when added to his flair and ideas the whole project has delivered exactly what we wanted. Testament to the detail and quality of the plans we had no problems at all with planning consent (which James managed for us entirely) and the building process required no revisions to the design as we went along. I have no reservations in recommending James.

We hired James to design our kitchen extension. Although it was a small project we needed help to make it fit with the existing layout and James had lots of good ideas that we hadn't thought of. He gave us some good advice and we're happy that the finished design was the best use of the space. We recommend him highly and would definitely use him again.

James was really easy to work with. He understood our vision and came up with a great solution for us. He was always really flexible when we asked for changes and amendments and offered us advice and guidance. He liaised with the planners on our behalf which was really helpful. Thank you!!

Whilst my build project, a utility room and ground floor toilet, is not a particularly grand one, the whole process initially seemed extremely daunting, especially as this is something I've never tackled before. Despite this James was able to quickly put my mind at rest, not only turning around drawing plans efficiently, ensuring I had all the correct information for my planning application, but also being available to support with additional advice as needed. The whole experience has been an extremely positive one. I would not hesitate to recommend Design Haus based on James' professionalism throughout the early stages of my project, and I'm feeling confident, and looking forward to seeing the plans come to fruition in the next few months.

James worked with us on plans for our extension. He has an intuitive approach to design, working with ideas flexibly and offers excellent solutions to problems. James has good communication skills, keeping us in the loop throughout the whole process. Plans were completed with innovative ideas and options that helped us to clearly visualise the completed build. We couldn't recommend his service any higher.
