Especially skilled at creating contextual designs that both fit in and stand out. Every design is customized to the client's needs and budget, but always includes that extra effort that makes the project unique. Strengths of D. Tarinelli, Architect include design of attractive, well-proportioned, contextual buildings that fit in and stand out. Equally important are efficient and economic plan layouts, very detailed interior planning and design, and the ability to work in many styles including colonial, craftsman, shingle, prairie and "classic modern". Serving the client is paramount and personalized customer service comes first. Most important is taking time to listen to you so that your vision for the upcoming project is understood. D. Tarinelli draws upon imagination, expertise and experience to make the dreams and aspirations of the client buildable.

Don has redesigned my former home in Canton CT and more recently my new lakefront residence renovation project in Columbia, CT. I have known Don for over 25 years as a person I trusted and rely on. He is honest and thoughtful and these traits carry over to his work. When he takes on a project he owns it and it is personal. His common sense approach is relaxing and he will find and present ideas to make your house unique. He is patient and understanding. We have been complemented on our new house which I hear from neighbors looks 1000 times better, my wife commented that Don "Nailed It".

We are building a new historical home in Suffield, CT. Don was recommended to us by our Real Estate Broker. I myself am a semi-retired General Contractor, and I wanted to work with an Architect who had historical background....that was Don! It was a real pleasure to work with someone as personable, and knowledgeable as him. The print came out fabulous and very detailed, and at a reasonable price! I highly recommend him for all and any projects. Super nice guy, and now good friend!

When I was planning to remodel my summer cottage, I searched the internet for an architect that would see my vision and embrace it. I found websites for Donald Tarinelli, Architect and liked what I saw and the reviews I read. Right from our first conversation, I knew I could work with him. Don understood what my objective was, saw what I envisioned and designed plans that exceeded my expectations. His designs encompassed my desire for open space for entertaining family and friends while keeping a summer cottage feel. Both inside and out, the designs fit the surroundings. He worked side by side with me until the plans met my desire, always with my budget in mind and with a great sense of humor. I am very happy I found Don Tarinelli and highly recommend him. He is talented, professional, embraces your vision and enhances it, all at a reasonable cost. Call him, you won’t be disappointed!

Don helped us plan a total renovation of a 1800 sq.ft ranch on the Farmington River. He met with us and went over our vision and ideas for the transformation and then developed a set of plans for us to review. Based on our review and Don's suggestions, we made further changes to the placement of the new HVAC system , corridors, extra bedroom and gable construction in the front and back. The result is we have a beautiful house with an amazing back view to the river from every room and a completely new floor plan and front yard. A perfect job.

Mr. Tarinelli was instrumental in making our house remodeling and addition possible. With a keen sensitivity to historic style and spacial context, we were in need of living space within a budget. What we also needed and didn't know it beforehand was an architect that could integrate structural requirement into the house without taking away from the historic look. Mr. Tarinelli exceeded all expectation and stayed within our $3000 architectural budget. He also worked with our contractor to enable us to meet our $100,000 budget. I would highly recommend Mr. Tarinelli.

Our experience with Don was great from start to finish. Before designing the house we built, he traveled 4 hours to visit the site of the house taking pictures from all angles to determine how best to situate the house on the lot. During the design process, he would take the time to show us things in his own house to compare with what was on the plans. It gave us a better sense of how the plans would translate when we built. After construction started, he was readily available to answer any questions we had about the construction as well as to speak with the builder. His experience with building is a huge asset when it comes to translating the design into a finished product. All in all, our experience was great and we couldn't be happier with the home he designed for us. We highly recommend Don.

Comentado: Urban Farming- Would You Raise Chickens?We had 3 chickens (Betsy, Lacy & Bean) for 5 years on a 1/8th acre lot on a busy street in a n historic village. The chickens did free range for a period each day, and most neighbors enjoyed them...
