Working with Martin was a true pleasure. As a couple with design backgrounds, we were very particular about choosing an architect for our Dogpatch loft remodel, but after meeting Martin we were positively struck by his refined design sensibilities, technical knowledge, attention to detail, collaborative style, and can-do attitude. The scope of our remodel was one major bathroom overhaul, kitchen and two small bathrooms in a recently constructed loft-condo in San Francisco. Special attention had to be paid as we have neighbors both downstairs and to both sides, and many HOA building regulations to follow. Martin lead our remodel project as architect and project manager, helping us every step of the process. This was extraordinarily helpful when it came to operating within our project budget, because he could help devise cost-effective solutions where possible, while not losing sight of our design vision. For example; Martin helped us devise an Ikea kitchen design that in appearance, rivals premium European kitchens from Poliform, Boffi or Poggenpohl. Moreover, Martin’s collaborative style extended to working with our general contractor, Tim Tran, to ensure that Tim’s execution lived up to our collective expectations. Overall, we couldn’t imagine a better project partner than Martin. We would happily recruit him again for any future projects, and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to remodel.
