Ben Parsons Design & Ben, came highly recommended - and did not disappoint. Ben led on a complex project involving the extension to a grade2 listed building in Edgbaston, which also required both Calthorpe Estate Consent (as well as the planning and listed building approvals). The design was / is inspirational, and leverages the history of the building, with the latest building technologies with a great vision. Ben was extraordinarily patient as our plans changed, and we requested changes to his design. He was considered and always accommodating, regularly visiting us and discussing the thinking, and always having logical and intelligent solution. We also asked Ben to oversee the build phase, and his relationship with the lead contractor was also exemplary. I am sure there were issues and problems, I can't believe this project was without. However, these must have been solved between them, without delay or escalation. Again I can't recommend Ben & Ben Parsons Design highly enough - I am proud to be associated with the project for which he had both the vision to create and the ability to execute.

It is really important to have the right professional Architect when deciding on a project. Definitely Ben will give you honest open advice. He was recommended by several of my clients and did not disappoint. We decided not to go through with this current project as there were certain issues relating to drainage that did not sit comfortable with me. Ben patience, reliability and knowledge was first class. Turned a 'normal' extension proposal into a real 'wow' outcome. His inventiveness, eye for detail and rigour ensured that the project was specced correctly and the builder (PBM Lichfield) was able to deliver a brilliant result. Pictures don't do it justice (outside pic now updated with final finish), but the transformation it has made to our house is immense.

After considering a design concept for several months and having a 'half finished' design solution from a previous architect, we were recommended to contact Ben to finish the vision and commit to our project. Meeting Ben was a revelation. His calm approach was empathetic to our design requirements, whilst blending his expertise to guide the concept to an aesthetically and functionally brilliant solution. Details we hadn’t even considered were expertly taken care of, as were our design ‘musts’, all of which were clearly presented for the tendering process, in a concise manner. Finally, his support during the build process went 'above and beyond' the call of duty. I would throughly recommend Ben to anybody requiring architectural design and expertise for their project.

Ben was commissioned earlier this year to design our renovation project. Our visions, desires and needs had been perfectly translated into a scheme which will see our new house almost double in size to 5000sqft, and meet our Arts and Crafts style build. As Bens has shown a great understanding of our needs and competency in generating great plans he has subsequently been commissioned for three further projects, two of which are commercial, Including a large scale Residential Care Home.

Ben Parsons We engaged Ben in late 2014 to give us some ideas about an extension we had been thinking about for some time. We had no firm ideas other than we needed space, were concerned about light and wanted to extend as sympathetically as possible with the rest of the 1930’s house. We had seen Ben’s work at another site nearby which prompted us to invite him to advise us Ben understood our needs exactly and produced drawings that completely met our objectives. Very little changed from his original plans to the final drawings for the build. As well as preparing the drawings we engaged Ben to manage the project from builder selection through to final sign off. Throughout the process Ben was on hand to discuss any issues that arose from us, or the builder and we met regularly to review progress and agree any additions or amendments to the plans. Ben dealt with us, and the builder in a very professional and knowledgeable way and all issues were resolved promptly and with agreement from all parties. The build took the best part of 6 months and was completed on time and to budget despite the work commencing in late November. We have been delighted with the work and the changes it has made to the way we live in the house. We have a light and spacious living area which although very modern fits in perfectly with the original traditional building in our view. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ben to anyone undertaking a large project such as ours. His vision in the first instance to create the space exceeded out initial expectations of the build and the whole project was carried out very professionally and efficiently

Ben delivered an exceptional kitchen and living extension for us and we would highly recommend him. His design whilst unique and contemporary also took into account our existing house style and he managed to marry the two together nicely. His style was excellent as he pushed the boundaries with the design but also took into account all of our needs and the practicalities required in a family home. We also asked Ben to project manage the building for us and this took the stress out of the job and made sure that we got an exceptional end result. He has a warm and engaging style and we would definitely work with him again.
