I would like to thank Paul and his staff at Architects Rule for all their hard work, patience and professionalism. Paul was extremely diligent in his work and very helpful with his insights on how I should proceed with certain aspects of my project. I came to Paul without a contractor and Paul through lots of thought provided me with best contractor you could ever find. I am extremely grateful for their efforts to my home that make many memories in my future.

Paul and his team were excellent to work with. Very honest, knowledgeable and friendly. They helped us get a permit for an additional half bathroom in our coop. They made the process very easy and the job was done quickly. I highly recommend them!

I wanted to remove a wall between my kitchen and dining room but was unsure if it was a load bearing wall and Paul was recommend by a contractor. Paul was very knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. In order to check if it is load bearing, he advised he would need to cut an 8" square on the top of both sides of the wall which I understood and was OK with. He came over after arranging a quick appointment and right away saw that it was an older house and had the original molding. In order to not destroy the original molding, he took more time out of his busy day and thoroughly inspected the floors above and below to determine if it was a necessary wall or not. It turned out to indeed be a load bearing wall so was very grateful that the molding was not destroyed. Paul asked me what my budget was and my renovation plan and provided me with his recommendation. He even followed up afterwards with a drawing plan if I wanted to move forward with altering the wall. The husband and I decided to hold off on renovating the house due to other maintenance needed but would not hesitate to contact Paul again. Highly recommend!

Paul was recommended to me by a trusted contractor with whom my family has dealt with for close to 15 years. The project that I've hired Paul for is still in its early stages but I will provide my feedback thus far and will update when it is complete. This project is a 7,000 sq. ft. mixed-used loft renovation. When I first reached out to Paul, I was under time pressure to furnish plans in order to secure funding within a 45-day closing. In my first meeting with Paul, I found that our working styles were a good match and we had similar philosophies. Immediately after engaging his services, Paul and his team worked overtime to supply the plans my lender needed. He was available to answer whatever questions the bank's appraiser had and helped me to close without any issues. In the ensuing time, Paul and his team continued their work to provide two alternative plans for a total of three. They asked me to visit their office multiple times as we explored each plan, made adjustments, and refined our course of action. Speaking from experience with having worked with other architects and feeling rushed, I valued being sought out to participate in Paul's process. This instills a sense of confidence in me of the quality of the final product. Just two weeks ago, Paul invited me to his office to look at a 3D rendering tour of the plans. To elaborate on the aforementioned similar working styles, I expressed to Paul early-on that I prefer to hear bad news as early as possible. Sometimes individuals will try to stall bad news until it can no longer be contained. Paul shared my sentiments and explained how his work process reflected those values. In short, he extracts feedback from DoB officials at the outset of a project - not upon completion. This front-loads potential problems to the beginning of a project. I was very glad to find that we were on the same page. Now that we are close to finalizing plans, I have also asked Paul about green construction methods and recycled materials. Much to my surprise, he was enthusiastic about discussing these possibilities. It is still early in the process, but I am very confident in this team I've assembled, due in no small part to Paul and his firm. I look forward to updating my review upon the project's completion. Update: As this project unfolded we hit multiple obstacles that threw us in for a surprise. However, Paul and his team were still responsive when we had to make major changes to our plans. I'm happy to re-affirm my 5-star rating given one year ago to Architect's Rule.

Currently Paul and his team are working on a total gut job for my house. They are very professional. They always answer my questions promptly and sufficiently and show up on time for meetings. To accommodate my busy work schedule, Paul even met with me on the weekends. Because my house is in a private community, any exterior work needs to be approved by the architectural committee. Paul and his team prepared the application, met with the review board chairperson, and got approvals in a timely manner. Paul is also very knowledgeable in building codes and permit process. He and his team obtained the demolition permit in a timely manner. So far, I have been very happy with his service.

Paul did great job! On this difficult Land Mark / Flood restricted land, he made a terrific design, conformable, reasonable arrangement interior of the house, perfect consideration of building outside, it is beyond my imagination! Paul is such a great professional designer!

Architects Rule, Paul and team, were a true pleasure to work with. We reached out to Paul at a point in our project when not many architects would want to get involved. He was not only willing to help, he was extremely professional and speedy in getting the work done and assisting in every step of the process in filing with our town - which was extremely complicated. He was patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. He helped us get approvals from our town that we never would've gotten on our own. His expertise was crucial to our project and I would love to work with him and his team again!

I have used Architects Rule for several projects over the years. Each time they've performed excellent work. They don't impose their ideas on you, they take the time to understand what you are looking to create and then guide you from concept through completion. They spend your money as if it's their own, focusing on the getting the best value. Each project has been completed either on or ahead of schedule and within 10% of our initial estimates for construction. I recomend them whenever the oppurtunity arises and have always gotten positive feedback from my clients.

We purchased a fixer upper home as an estate sale in Astoria, NY and, we wanted to convert it into a legal three family home. After speaking to many architects, no one was interested in taking up the task. All claimed that it would be impossible to be done. We were at our wits end and at some point, we even regretted our purchase. Luckily, I stumbled upon Architects Rule website, and we never looked back. Paul and his team were eager to take up the challenge and they truly delivered. Everyone was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Paul knows the building codes like the back of his hand. If a problem arose, he knew how to solve it quickly or get the right person involved. We also appreciated how quickly he responded to our concerns. He was always a phone call, text or email away. Overall, we are very impressed with his attitude, knowledge and work ethic.

Paul is an outstanding architect with a great team building our dream house effortlessly putting our ideas into reality he is a perfectionist he was incredibly available to us when we had and questions or concerns if you are looking for someone that is willing to work outside the box to create something truly unique and spectacular you will be bless to have Paul and his team on your side while bringing your imagination to life.

Architects Rule (Paul) is a true champion in my book. My project started with another architect that turned out to be a nightmare. Paul took on my project corrected all the flaws and totally redesigned and got my plans passed by the DOB. During the build he discovered flaws that the contractor had done and alerted me to. In the end I eventually got a new contractor and with guidance from Paul my project is currently on the right track. It is not yet completed but I will update my review. I would recommend Architects Rule to anyone who is doing any level of construction.

Helped me so much in renovating my home in Astoria! He is the only architect I really trust! He understands your needs and your budget!! Keep it up!
