Alla Kazovsky Architect

I was so excited to contact Alla to discuss my plans to add a garage and redesign my front yard. I paid the $50 consultation fee and sent photos after Alla contacted me. Then I was so surprised to get an email from Alla saying she could not help me because she does not do outdoor projects!! I was shocked! Her website home page (alladiyally.com) is a beautiful picture of a back yard pool, deck and lush landscape. That doesn't make sense if she doesn't do outdoor design. Nowhere on Houzz does it mention that her services exclude outdoor projects. And wouldn't it have been nice if she had someone she could have referred me to? So overall I was very disappointed - and didn't get my money back either! Wonder how often that happens to other unsuspecting folks!

We had the pleasure to work with Alla on one of our bigger projects in Encino, Ca. She has an amazing sense of style and was always there when a question needed to be answered. She pays attention to detail and you can tell she takes great pride in her work. We can not wait to work with her again!

Alla is an amazing architect. Initially, I bought a fireplace screen and lights that Alla designed. They are incredible. For those of you who do not know, Alla's work has been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. I learned about her by researching modern (unusual) fireplace screens, and found articles about her and her work in the LA Times. People who have seen Alla's fireplace screen in my house have raved about it, and have repeatedly asked where I obtained it and who made it. Subsequently, Alla has consulted with me on redesigns for my mid-century modern home, and her ideas and suggestions are incredible. She is a true talent.

Alla is an extreme professional and intelligent woman with whom you can have honest and open conversations. She is very helpful in choosing designs and color palettes, which makes the process a truly collaborative effort, which is refreshing. Alla helped us build an outdoor kitchen and remodel our backyard, turning it into an oasis with amazing aesthetics. Even when we ran into trouble with permits, Alla maintained a positive attitude and did all in her power to push for us. She was able to come up with multiple solutions to simple and complex problems that we encountered during construction. She exceeded all of our expectations and we would definitely recommend her services.
