James Carr Architecture & Land Planning

James S. Carr, A.I.A. and Associates, LLC focuses on providing a full range of multi-family and mixed-use land planning and architectural design services to national and regional developers and home builders. Most of the firm’s work comes from a strong base of repeat clients and involves designing medium- to high-density, market-rate multi-family projects in the eastern United States. In addition to multi-family residential land planning and architectural design, we also frequently engage in community planning work, designing office and retail space to complement the residential components of live-work communities. The highest concentration of our work is in Florida, though we take on work in all regions of the country except the West Coast. As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are dedicated to using the latest technology, including building information modeling (BIM) technology, to ensure that we delivers both the most aesthetically appealing and the most efficient designs to our clients. Furthermore, we are committed to environmentally senstive design and to providing design services, typically at a reduced fee, to a select number of community service and religious organizations. We have a core full-time staff that work closely with the principal, as well as a number of long-term relationships with other design professionals and firms. These relationships allow us to pursue large projects efficiently, while maintaining the flexibility that allows Mr. Carr to be actively involved in the details of each project.
