West Coast Modern Designs

Since 2009 we have been making custom, handcrafted modern furniture, millwork and cabinetry for our clients. The summer of 2019 marks a special time for us where we launch our very own furniture collection and online store. We are still very much continuing to make custom pieces, but now also will be maintaining a collection of both one-of-a-kind pieces that are ready for purchase, as well as production designs that we can make over and over again. Our work is sculptural, and experimental, while still being functional and made to last. Creating with unique pieces, we let the wood inform the design, and guide the decisions we make. Most of our wood is cut by us from salvaged trees on Central Vancouver Island. We source and mill the logs ourselves, stack and dry the slabs and lumber, and wait patiently for that wood to be ready for use. We view sustainability through careful, locally sourced material choices, quality craftsmanship and safe finishes, to create products that will last and last and last. We believe in quality material, design, and craftsmanship so that our customers can buy something once, and love it for a lifetime. We make objects great and small. From charcuterie boards, to stools. Side tables to dining tables. Built-in shelves to whole home cabinetry.
