Misty Ricks’ passion for design began more than 15 years ago, when she first became involved in the construction business. She is a self-taught interior designer and kitchen designer in San Antonio whose love of color and building motivated her to become a quick and avid learner of everything to do with design and residential construction. Misty has taught “The Basics of Kitchen Design, Bath Design and Organization” and “How to Remodel Green” for the Northeast Independent School District’s Continuing Education Program for 10 years. She has been featured in local newspapers concerning new products for the kitchen and bath, including appliances, flooring and plumbing. Her designs have been recognized in the San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio magazine and Taste magazine. With the ability to use 3D drawings for room layouts, cabinet configurations and textures and colors, Misty can help her clients better understand what the finished project will look like. “I think my prior experience as a teacher makes it easy for me to listen to my clients and work hard to help them visualize every aspect of the project,” Misty says. “I like to make sure they know all of their design options so that they fully envision the project the way that I do.”
