We were looking for someone with a vision to change a small and rather dull room in our recently purchased home - and we completely won choosing Groth & Sons. From our first meeting Amos’ professionalism and eye for detail and design shone through. Whilst building we were always kept in the loop, they were never late and never left a bit of mess. We are overjoyed with the result. Thank you to both Amos and Oscar - I will be singing your praises to all that will listen.

Space is at a premium in my Victorian terrace house, so I am thrilled with the built-in bookcases that Amos and Oscar created for me. It meant I was able to remove three separate huge bookcases that were cluttering various rooms and instead create a period-style library in my second bedroom that made the most of the wall with doors out onto the terrace balcony. The craftsmanship is amazing – so many people have said to me they look like they were built as part of the original house. I recommend Groth & Sons very highly!

Truly exceptional work. We got a hydraulic lift bar like out of a Bond film. It definitely has the wow factor and it seamlessly fits into the existing house.

I was delighted with the design and standard of work, provided by Amos and son Oscar, for the installation of a large bookcase in my dining room. Amos' experience in library construction meant that he steered us towards a more interesting design than we had contemplated, and the result is outstanding. Throughout the process I was kept up-to-date with photos and installation was trouble-free. Amos is a true gentleman and artisan, and to anyone who loves books, but can't afford a bookcase at the moment, put his name at the top of your Wish List!

We needed a professional that could fulfill a childhood dream of mine: To have a library room, complete with ladder on a rail and a secret bookshelf door leading to a storeroom. After a lot of searching, we found Groth and Sons and I'm glad we did. They designed and constructed the entire project, from concept through to completion. They were attentive to our requirements and suggestions, whilst also ensuring that the library was built in such a way that it matched the design of the rest of our house (which is in a Hamptons style). Upon completion, you would never know that the library wasn't a part of the original house build 30 years ago. At every step, Amos Groth ensured that they came to us with a solution and to get our feedback and input. Amos and his son Oscar were courteous, well mannered, and careful throughout this process and it is clear that they take pride and care in their workmanship. The process was expensive, but Groth and Sons are a third generation outfit specialising in interior design, custom cabinetry/joinery, and home libraries, and it definitely shows. Now the project is completed, I have no regrets about choosing them and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a home library, secret door or bespoke cabinetry. Bottom line: Groth and Sons are consummate professionals and their workmanship is brilliant. Most highly recommended.

Well it’s been a couple of years since I came across the mastery of Amos Groth and what now is proudly our Live-in Library I recall the minute I met you and you stood in our spare room bursting with books piled in every space, books that needed a place to shine, and nearly tripping over a pile, I recall you took "Oscar Wilde” off the shelf. I knew then that the conversation we were about to have would be the beginning of a dream come true. You listened and heard and even though we knew that it was a challenge with space, height and size, your positivity guided us. Nothing was ever too difficult or too “out there” Every book needed a place and you knew that the only way was to turn our living/dining room into what is now, our beautiful live- in library. Our hopes exactly. You listened closely. You incorporated my insistence for an easel for our large books which allows me to turn the page to a new piece of art every day. Your masterful eye saw a way of incorporating our treasured and huge Kahlil Gibran portrait into the bookcase as a backdrop to our priceless collection of his works. Amos, you didn't just build a bespoke bookcase you transformed our space so that we and all who come to our home enjoy a great meal, a glass of red, warm lighting and a book or two ...without even leaving the table. To whom it may concern, A few years ago, I was searching for a company able to build my lifelong dream- a home library. After meeting Amos Groth, of Groth and Sons, I knew he was up to the task. Classically trained and capable of the level of craftsmanship required, I have not regretted it a day since. The result we achieved is a most impressive accomplishment. Amos is a Master Craftsman; third generation in fact, and it shows. Amos and I worked closely over three years, from our first meeting until completion, to bring my dream to life. Any request I had was taken seriously and respectfully. Amos would inject his experience and thoughts, and with this combined effort, we achieved all our goals. Amos and his son, Oliver, are bright, happy individuals, and so focused on the job. They are nothing short of professional, dedicated and passionate and treated the project as though it was their own. I chanced upon Groth & Sons online and called to speak with Amos who turned out to be even more passionate than me about creating a library in my 1920's apartment. From the first conversation, through the design phase and onto the installation of the finished product the whole process and result exceeded my expectations.
