Crest Interior did a total conversion of my daughter & son-in-law's Chicago bungalow into a beautiful two story home in 2007. Crest Interior was referred by the contractor who had done a total remodel of three rooms in my Chicago bungalow in 2003 but was unavailable to do their construction. They live next door to us so I was privy to the entire project from beginning to end and was so impressed not only by Crest Interor's quality of workmanship, dedication, trustworthiness, meeting all their expectations, expertise, and creativity when any issue arose, but to the respect of everyone working on the project. Entire project took 6-7 months and was within the deadline/projection.
Therefore, when I needed to remodel my main bathroom and bedroom in 2009; there was no decision to be made as to who I would hire: Crest Interior. After suffering a great personal loss early 2008, my emotions were a bit fragile and making so many decisions alone was no easy task, but Tom Habowski, owner of Crest Interior, helped and supported me every step of the project. Offering options, assuring me, informing me, being there every day and notifying in advance if they were unable to be there as planned. After 35+ years of home ownership and hiring contractors for projects of minor to major proportion, this was a first.
I had seen a new product for countertops made of broken green glass and fell in love. Crest helped with research and I found a dealer and Crest suggested a way to use the material for corner shelves in the shower. Angie's List included my bathroom in a story about this new "green" option. There are now more companies offering this material for a unique look that is so durable and attractive option for home and commercial use. People still are surprised by the design of my bathroom to this day. It is a classic Chicago bungalow size, but Gorgeous! (And ADA compliant, too) But I digress...
My master bedroom needed an update so Crest Interior changed my closet, added crown moldings and baseboards/trim, new solid wood door and beautiful two-toned painted walls. Once again, total satisfaction and always a pleasureable experience.
Crest/Tom Habowski will hopefully be available to reconfigure and build all the cabinets in my kitchen/dining area this summer. The quality of workmanship in Crest Interior cabinets is of the finest caliber. Not only do they look exactly as you hoped, but they function perfectly, year after year. Tom Habowski is the finest contractor I have ever met and it was a pleasure working with him always. His education, training, experience, knowledge of design, creativity, dedication to doing his part for you to achieve your dream, his honesty, loyalty, incredible work ethic, and integrity are unparalleled. He is a gentleman of another era, and someone I can recommend for any project you can envision. He takes any problem that arises and finds a solution, period. I have worked with many companies in my life, here and in my Wisconsin home: some good, some great, but Crest Interior is always, always my first and finest recommendation to others.
I hope to find a few photos in my archive to add to this review.
