Coupland Installations

We had a new bathroom and en-suite designed and installed by Coupland at the end of 2020 / beginning of 2021. Positives - the design was good, the workmen were polite and always showed up on time. The work took a little longer than they said it would, but we were kept informed along the way. When the bathrooms were finished, we were basically happy. Cons - unfortunately, we then had problems with the work afterwards and it has never been fixed, more than a year later. First, from one of the new radiators, there was a leak, and it left a small stain on our living room ceiling. Coupland said they would paint over it, but never did. Second, the mirrored cabinet in the bathroom broke, the door came away from the hinges and was hanging loose, had to stick it up with parcel tape for the time being. Third, the shower pump started playing up and wouldn't kick in properly. We let Coupland know on 6th November 2021, they said they would be round the next Wednesday (10th Nov), but didn't show up, then said they'd be round on Friday (12th Nov), didn't show up, then did come round on 16th Nov. Said that the pump needed a new valve, which they could fit, and they would replace the bathroom cabinet. Nothing ever happened with the cabinet, we ended up paying someone else to come and fix it (£25), the it fell off again. By December, still heard nothing about the pump. Got back in touch, we were told those pumps are always fine (good to know, but no help to us). Then we were told they could replace the pump, but were having cash flow problems (ok...but not sure why you would tell a customer that) and they needed to sell a van before buying us a new pump. Last time we got a message was before just Christmas 2021, to say the van was being sold and they would pick up a replacement pump. Have not heard anything more since then, so ended up paying out a couple of hundred ourselves to get the pump replaced - all works ok again now. When the plumber who did that job looked at the install work in our hot water cupboard, he pointed out how badly the new pipes had been put in. I fed this back to Coupland and they said they didn't work with those plumbers anymore (which sounds like an admission they knew the work was a bit shoddy, but they didn't propose to do anything about it). Bottom line - if everything goes well on the job, I think you'll be happy with it. If you have any snags or problems, like we did, I wouldn't be confident of getting any help with it.

I recently had my out dated and old fashioned kitchen turned into a very modern and amazing kitchen! I am so pleased with the outcome of my kitchen. Ben and the team were very efficient and had some excellent ideas which we would of never of thought of without their help. They were very committed a hard job and from start to finish were overall amazing. I am very happy with my kitchen now.

ben and his team are utterly brilliant. from quoting time completion they were fab. i had a fair idea what i wanted but ben and his team made that a reality and added so many ideas that made the project surpass my expectations. i was away for the bulk of the build and they just got in with it. nothing was too much trouble and they were tidy and respectful of my home. ben andy the e guys a true craftsmen. they brought the job in on time and on budget. i’ve already booked them for my next renovations. then are a real find, and their attention to detail is superb. i thoroughly recommend ben and the guys.

Ben and team have just finished completely refurbishing a shower room and bathroom for us. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The initial quote was detailed, delivered on all of my (many!) requirements, provided really promptly and costs were all clear and reasonable. Communication was excellent throughout and the project was really well managed in terms of sourcing all materials and getting the right people in at the right time. There were some minor modifications and additions along the way which were handled really smoothly. All of the professionals involved clearly have a huge amount of pride in their work. They worked exceptionally hard to achieve an excellent finish and I am absolutely chuffed with the end result. They are also all really lovely guys, which is important when they are spending so much time in your home! Am so pleased to have found this company and will certainly hire them for future projects. Highly recommended!

The guys did a really brilliant kitchen renovation job here in Cardiff, they listened and kept in touch long before and during the project. Really friendly and full on workers. There was some delay due to Covid, but as soon as the building work was able to continue, we kept our distance and they completed the job for us. We had a full new kitchen, so removing our old kitchen and fitting the new kitchen, removal of tiling, fitting of all new LVT flooring to ground floor, removal of built-in room cupboard and reduction of stair drop, made the remaining under-stairs space into custom fitted draws for shoes, new door, decorating/painting, tiling in specific angled pattern, new spot drop and under-unit lighting, new radiator and new electrical sockets - so basically they did it all - a complete kitchen remodel job! I was very specific on interior design ideas and details, they listened and did everything as requested. They did a lovely job of everything, and even came back a couple of times to help with some niggles (drain related that wasn't their fault!) They have a genuine love and pride in their work, and I would recommend, and will use again.

Ben and the team fitted a new bathroom suite for us and refreshed a tired old bathroom into a fresh modern space. We had an idea of what we wanted but thanks to Ben's advise were able to maximise the use of our small space to include a full bathroom suite. Quick to respond to any of our questions from our initial contact through to after fitting care, Ben has always been available. As tradesmen they were second to none, friendly, clean and efficient ensuring that they left our house spotless at the end of every day with the quality of work flawless. Even after the challenge of removing tiles which were tiled ontop of other tiles they still finished on time! If looking for a team to fit a bathroom, Ben and his team fit the bill!

Ben and his team have renovated 2 of our bathrooms. He played a large part in the design process, sharing his ideas with us along the way - and stopped us making a few design errors too! The work was completed in good time and the team were clean and tidy, friendly and paid a great attention to detail. Hopefully, Ben will be sorting our kitchen in the near future!

My wife and I hired Ben to do a compete kitchen re-fit, as well as other minor works to walls, floors, and staircase through the house. Ben was very quick to appraise the work and get a quote to us. The quote was very accurate, and Ben was accommodating to other small extras we later wished to add. Ben and his boys had a good eye for understanding our design choices and making them look good and fit well. We had some delays of our own and Ben made sure he accommodated us in this, which was much appreciated. As a busy man we felt it necessary to remind him of a certain things in a couple of instances, but as with everything else he showed dedication to getting everything right for us and we’re very pleased with the results.

Highly recommend Ben and his team. From start to finish they listened and came up with suggestions on my bathroom renovations. The finished product is brilliant and I've received loads of compliments. I've happily recommend him to friends and family and will definitely be using his services again.
