Radical Residential Drafting & Conception

My name is James McClaren Stoker. My family calls me Mike. I am radical and a bit on the introvert side of life but with a very creative imagination. I believe in individualism, a view that stresses the importance and worth of each person. It is the principal that the interests of the client are or ought to be ethically paramount. Not only am I a design drafter, but I am a musician. My philosophy is “Sound by design”. You have to stay in tuned with the client's desires and in time with the builder in mind. Educated in the field, and later in the class I am dedicated to producing the highest quality Plan Drawings as possible. Accuracy with just enough Detail. I am a country boy and try to focus my creativity on country living, the warmth of wood, and the color of stone. Home is truly where the heart is. I started my career in the field, driving nails and carrying lumber, and then into the carpenter shop to build casework. Then I had this crazy ideal, let’s draw a house. My first house was my grandfather’s house built back in the early 1900’s. It was going to be torn down, so I took pictures of it and draw it in my own creative style. I was hooked from then on. I used it as my class project. I now have 17 years of experience in drafting and design. I have worked for and with major National home builders on the east coast, in mid-west and north-west part of the country, until the ideal of Radical Residential Drafting and Conceptions. I hold a certification in Autocad from DCCC. I have a OHC Certificate of Accomplishment Quality Work Group Education, as well as a OHC Training Completion in ARGOS Vertex BIM Building Design Systems. I have been previously certified as a Concrete Technician ACI NC DOT. I am and was indorsed by Barry J. Helms of Professional Management Solutions, L.L.C. (now deceased). A great friend he was. My goal is to work with or for a design build company in a full time capacity or as a sub- contractor in custom home design.
