What We Believe- Our goal is to consistently provide our clients with a design that reflects their style while keeping functionality and budget a priority. We work hard so that our construction drawings are accurate and easy to read for quoting, permitting, and building. Our History - Founder and Designer, Lorrie Potter, began this business in 1996 as “Homeplans and Designs” so that she could raise her children while working from home to add to the family income. Learning from her father’s and husband’s building experience, she grew her skills and built a reputation that led to an extensive client base. In 2014 she renamed the business “Potter Home Design”, starting anew. Many of her first clients return to her again for their drawing needs 22 years later. Experienced in working with Builders, Architects, Homeowners, and many Clients who are building for the first time. We have designed homes of all different Sizes and Styles. Including Large and Small Remodels, Additions, Garages, and Pole Barns. Hundreds of existing finished plans are on file you can search through. Calculate Energy Codes and provide Certificates as needed to get a permit, using the Res Check software. We can provide your plans on sheet sizes from 8 ½” x 11” up to 24” x 36”. We can save them to a .pdf version for easy emailing and printing. This is very useful for reviewing with a customer and sending out quotes. We will come out to the job site for additions and remodels to measure and document the existing structures. We are careful to include all the pertinent details needed to ensure the accuracy of the plan.
