Last year we reached out to Dave Guy and the folks at Exceptional Home Designs. We had purchased an old Gambrel style modular home built in 1980 and were taking the 1st floor back to the studs to add a new kitchen, living area, office/4th bedroom, and a design for a porch. Dave really came through and brought some new ideas to the table that we hadn't considered. Dave was able to take our thoughts along with what we had done on the second floor, and really pulled the whole design together! Specifically, he really focused on the flow of the rooms, the natural lighting, and made sure that the walls had the proper reveal and return. In addition, he helped us maximized the 2300 sq/ft of space of our little home. I will definitely use Exceptional Home Designs again in the future.

I hired Dave Guy to draw up a building plan for a basement remodel in my home. He produced an extremely professional and detailed plan of the remodel project which was required to be submitted to the county in order to obtain the proper permits. In addition, Mr. Guy also accommodated a very tight time frame with the speedy delivery of the building plans. I enjoyed working with Mr. Guy and would definitely do so again in the future. I highly recommend Mr. Guy for his expertise and professionalism.

Dave Guy designed beautiful screen porch conversion of our deck. Our house was built in 2011 in the craftsman style pretty typical these days, and Dave came up with something that looked like it was designed with the house from the beginning. It was much nicer than we anticipated, and highly functional as well. Dave listened to our ideas and came up with a great design at a reasonable price.

Dave Guy was easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted and also made suggestions to help us in making our architectural plans. Our house is 80% complete. It is not the run of the mill rectangular house. The house needed to conform to the edge of the lake so we could capture the best views. Mr Guy was able to help us with those plans.

I am a local builder in the Fredericksburg Virginia Market, I met Mr. Guy at a Builder conference this past winter and was impressed with some of his work and his attitude. I decided to give him a call and ask about his services, his prices were competitive so I decided to give him a go at a custom home design. We went over some of the design criteria and he delivered a beautiful set of plans on time per our schedule. I have not built this house yet, but plan on using Mr. Guy on other upcoming projects. As a Home Builder I have worked with Dave Guy of Exceptional Home Designs on several projects. I have found their services to be professional and timely with well thought out design and reasoning. Dave recently designed a 3400 square foot custom home for us and we love the finished design. Exceptional Home Design was able to keep the floor plan open as we had requested while creating unique "zones" we were looking for our in our designs. They were also able to develop several different elevation options while keeping construction cost details in mind.

I've had the pleasure of working with David Guy of Exceptional Home Designs a couple times. I liked Dave immediately. He listens to the client and comes up with thoughtful, creative, functional designs that makes my part of the project, as interior designer, easier. Dave was able to do this with a lower level of a residence by creating not only the rooms requested by the client, but also interesting transition areas between the spaces. The lower level had an open, gathering area and Dave created space for a concession stand for the theater, but he also created a great transition space that acted as a foyer leading to the theater. There was also room for a wine cellar and an exercise room. I was invited to the clients' holiday party and the newly created space received rave reviews from the attendees. I attribute much of the praise to David's foresight and creative abilities. In addition, Dave is very professional and easy to work with. Comentado: What color and brand is this siding?I had the pleasure of being the designer on this project but the builder handled all material and color selections. If I were to guess this was a Heartland beaded vinyl siding- the color is unknown.
