We used Walker for a whole house renovation. The project manager they assigned to our project was not very thorough. I mentioned items that needed to be taken care of, and they were left out. Some things I mentioned 5 or 6 times, even texted a list to him, and it still didn't get done. Dealing with Josh was a chore. He's pleasant to deal with until something is wrong, then he becomes argumentative and impossible to deal with. As for the quality of the work, it wasn't bad, but I expected better from a high end general contractor. I've hired cheaper contractors in the past and the quality was not better with Walker. The flooring was ok, there was some lippage on the floor tile that I would expect with a lower end contractor. The drywall quality was less than what I anticipated. They didn't cut around the j-boxes well and left gaps. They later filled the gaps with joint compound but I'm worried about it cracking later. Time will tell with that issue. It was just a frustrating experience for me.

Josh & Kristie were awesome to work with on my home renovation. A few things that stood out to me over the process of working with them was the frequent communication about the budget, how easy it was to get in touch with my project manager, and how involved they made me in the process (never said no to my ideas). We ran into a major hiccup in the middle of the renovation when my house flooded due to a pipe burst during the freeze. They made it no big deal to pivot and helped me fix the damage from that as well as the already agreed upon changes and did their best to stay on a tight timeline. Can’t recommend them enough.

Josh and team helped us design and then built the screened in patio of our dreams. They were easy to work with even during COVID restrictions and the finished product exceeded our expectations. When we found a small leak after the work was finished, Josh had his team there that day to resolve the issue without any fuss. We will work with them on any future projects.

We are new to the McKinney, TX area. Needed a small kitchen remodel project and wanted it done in a short amount of time. We met with Josh of Walker Properties Remodeling after seeing their reviews on Houzz. Josh was able to take the design ideas in my head and execute. Kristie got us on the schedule ASAP. All of the work including custom granite countertops and new cabinets was completed in two weeks. On time and within budget! Highly recommend. We plan to use Josh on future remodeling projects.

WOW! Josh & Kristie Walker are TOP NOTCH! I live in a home built in 1974 in the Prestonwood area & was interested in bringing my home up to par. Both walked through the house with me & were very patient listening to my thoughts. They made recommendations for improvements but also made suggestions on what NOT to change! Who does that? Walker Properties - that's who! I was so grateful to be able to save money in a few spots that they felt were already up-to-date & would flow nicely with their ideas. Through the entire process they were easy to reach, responsive, informative & truly top notch all the way around! I am so grateful I found them & would recommend them to anyone interested in remodeling their home!!

Walker Properties just completed a fantastic remodel of our Jack/Jill restroom. From the initial meeting, Josh Walker was very helpful in guiding me to what would be most beneficial to the project and had several suggestions that saved us a lot of money and time. Josh was very straightforward with his estimate and broke things down in case we decided to do the project in stages. His crew was very meticulous, respectful of our time and home, and very accommodating when I decided to add something in mid-remodel(extra painting). The job was completed in less than two weeks and it is beautiful and everything I asked for and more. I HIGHLY recommend Walker Properties and will definitely use them again in the future.
