As an Interior Designer, I have had the pleasure of working with the construction company RJ Smulski Homes on 7 remodel or new construction projects over the last 5 years. I have in fact introduced them to my clients when they are searching for a contractor. Each of these projects has ended with happy clients who have unquestionably called him back to do further projects. Their work is consistently delivered with friendly advise and high quality standards. Ron has a crew that has worked with him for several years, and cadre of highly experienced subcontractors that he calls on to get the job done. I highly recommend them!

We first saw Ron Smulski’s work at The Street of Dreams in the 1980’s when the show homes were huge and spectacular from top to bottom. Year after year, we were highly impressed with the beautiful homes he built including “Best of Show” and “Best Craftsmanship” award winners. When the time came to expand and remodel our 20+ year old home, Ron was our first choice of contractors and we are beyond pleased with the results. Ron listened carefully to our goals and ideas and brought us a great architectural design and a team of quality suppliers and craftsmen who enlarged and transitioned our kitchen, family room and eating areas into a spacious solarium/great room layout with stunning masonry, cabinetry, hardwood, lighting and appliances. Ron also remodeled our powder room, replaced our enclosed staircase with a contemporary wrought iron staircase and replaced four rooms of carpeting with new hardwood that weaves in perfectly with the pre-existing hardwood in our home. Ron even identified and corrected construction mistakes our original builder made in our living room and deck areas, saving us headaches and money down the road. Ron and his team were very pleasant and easy to work with, and were on top of the details from initial design to final fit and finish. The results exceeded our expectations, and we give RJ Smulski Homes our highest recommendation.

Ron is almost finished remodeling my 1926 brick home in queen Ann! I am so pleased with the craftsmen ship of the subcontractors and ron's mgmt of his team. The quality and attention to detail is unbelievable. This was a major remodel, added a second story gutted the lower level, and opened up the main floor. He works extremely well with architects and interior designers. He is straight forward. The quality is unbelievable. I highly recommend Ron especially if you want quality and craftmenship. I will post pictures once done. Update_ the remodel is done! ron and his team are excellent. I am living in my dream home thanks to the high standard of all the subcontractors. Even my neighbors were impressed in how respectful Ron and his crew were to those that had to put up with the 11 month remodel. It was a pleasure a joy to work with him! Ron Smulski is the most genuine and sincere contractor that we have ever worked with. Him and his crew remodeled our entire house interior, from floor to ceiling and did a fantastic job. Ron also remodeled our vacation home in the San Juan islands, creating extra rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. In addition to these two huge remodels, Ron and crews built our pool and cabana from the ground up. Everything has turned out fabulous and we plan to keep working with him on future projects!

RJ Smulski Homes was contracted to add a bathroom shower in our lower level as well as a deck replacement off the upper level of the home. Their attention to detail and focus provided us the level of comfort for recommending them to others looking for an excellent contractor.

RJ Smulski Homes served as general contractor for the addition of an upper story master bedroom suite plus substantial revisions to the basement and main story of a home to which Greggs Building Design provided construction plans. The home's age and style (Tudor) and complicated roof made adding new work difficult, to say the least. Ron Smulski's crew was top notch, willing to be in close contact with our office while also engaging other team members for their input in construction decisions. Would recommend RJ Smulski Homes without hesitation.

Ron Smulski / RJ Smulski homes and his crews did an excellent job building our various projects. He was timely, and delivered on the promise. The only variable in time and budget was us as homeowners (change orders etc). Ron's subs were al professional, courteous and respected our privacy. The scope of our project was expansive: 1. Finish off things that need to be done in the primary residence. 2. Complete the guest house over the garage. 3. Build an entirely new building on the property. 4. Build a Zen garden and monolithic retaining wall. 5. Various stone-faced walls around the property including a beautiful entry gate. #1 entailed demoing and completing a large exterior patio to an elevated (tiles on risers) along with replacing the railings. Various other things here and there. #2 was to finish off what he started with the previous owner in completing a one bedroom guest house. This turned out beautiful and very accommodating. Guests say they feel like they're staying at the Four Seasons. #3. This was a mammoth undertaking being in a hillside with various challenges. The building is a mufti-function facility with a project recording studio (the whole building is a recording studio), garage, metal shop, surround sound theater with drop down screen/projector, dedicated recording studio with 4 rooms (control room, vocal booth, drum booth and main room), spa/steam room, sky lounge/solarium, large exterior deck with Turkish tiles and hot tub looking out over Lake Washington, sport court and more... #4. The Zen Garden is an amazing space with a scaled down bocce ball court, cascading water fall with 2 ponds, an arbor centered in the middle, and a 16,000 gal cistern that we use for irrigating the property from catching water off of roof lines and underground springs. #5. The various retaining & privacy walls around the property finish off the look of that old world feel of our manor house on the lake.
