Langdon Building

Worst and very stressful experience with Langdon. More than a year, still waiting to move in. I will not recommend anyone to build with Langdon.

I have beeen waiting 10 months since the house was started and I am yet to move in. There has been 2 design faults that have affected the house which can no longer be fixed with out rebuliding the house. They refuse to akowledge these as they have done a qucik fix and said it "complies with all signed documentation". The driveway was so steep I could not get a standard car on to the driveway without damaging my car or the concrete, same again for going from the driveway into the garage. But they tell me this is still "compliant". So "compliant" they decided they should rip it up and chang it so there is now no pathway from the frontdoor to the front of the garage except for a very uneven and awkaward step. But despite this they have still said "we as the builder have done nothing wrong". Then there was an issues where the steell T bar lentil above the garge door did not have enough bearing on the brickwork. They said and I quote, "There was a design issues where the T bar lentil did not have enough bearing on the brickwork" There fix was to put another row of bricks inside the garge door for the Lentil to sit on reducing the width of my garage door. But despite this they have still said "we as the builder have done nothing wrong". Then there is the lack of communication, 2 building supervisors, 2 home project coordinators that I have had to deal with. And the fact that an entire estate behind my house was started from scratch (ie. started to clear and level the block) when my conctere was already poured, And now there are at least 20 houses that have been completed and people are in.
