Ocean County's Versatile Home Builders & Remodelers

With 15 years of engineering experience, owner Ted Kalinka founded Kalinka Homes LLC in 2002 to provide new home building services with a “customer is always right” attitude. Satisfied customers quickly spread the word of Ted’s commitment to quality and customer service, resulting in dozens of new homes and home renovations performed by Kalinka Homes LLC throughout New Jersey, particularly along the Jersey Shore. Hailing from a family of builders, contractors, and masons, Ted Kalinka worked for, and learned much from, his father Ted Kalinka, Sr. With a lifetime of masonry and building experience in both residential and commercial properties, Ted Sr. often consulted on challenging projects. Kalinka Homes LLC owner Ted (Jr.) earned an engineering degree from Cornell University’s College of Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Management. Additional education includes several realty licensing and real estate development courses.

Ted Kalinka is an awesome home builder. He is an Electrical Engineer by trade (super knowledgeable and well educated) who has converted into a GC with mega experience. I have been both a Supplier to Kalinka homes and team mate on a softball team. I sell materials and I see well built and not so well built homes..... Good Builders and Sub Par. Builders EVERYDAY... Ted is a great contractor with excellent principles and character... Builds a great home and is a pleasure to deal with... Dont hesitate to contact when considering New Construct., remodel or renovation... Youll be happy and satisfied beyond expectation!!! Great guy.

We used Kalinka Homes to renovate an approx 1000 sqft basement, including a number of carpeted rooms with recessed lighting, full kitchen cabinetry with granite top and new full bathroom with large shower. From initial design meetings, Ted took a lot of care in listening to our desires and working out the considerations and tradeoffs given the space. He provided a detailed proposal with clear breakdown of materials and costs representing every aspect of the project openly. He has a number of skilled workers on his staff and also sub-contracts very professional crews. Ted also makes himself available to discuss questions and concerns with patience and deep knowledge. Most appreciated was the attention to detail and desire to cover every aspect to the last detail on the checklist. The quality of work was excellent and we are very happy with the results.

Teddy was really great to work with! He and his team are very knowledgeable and gave us some good ideas that we would not have thought of. He was extremely thorough and was always very quick to answer any questions we had.

We hired Ted to rebuild our house after hurricane Sandy. His proposal was very fair and his work was very good. He was responsive throughout the project and has continued to be as he fixes stuff related to settling / and or minor changes. I would hire him again!

We hired Kalinka Homes to build our home in Ortley Beach NJ. Ted was extremely professional. He handled everything from working with architect, securing permits and keeping us informed . We were concerned trying to complete this from 1200 miles away but Ted made the whole process comfortable.We could not be happier with the quality and workmanship of the finished home. It was a pleasure to work with Ted and his company. He was fair ,honest and reliable throughout the whole process.

I hired Kalinka homes to build me a house in Ortley Beach, NJ. I couldn't be happier with the way it came out. We had never built a house before, so he walked us through the whole process. He took care of the demo of the Sandy damaged house, walked us through the planning of the house, took care of the town and all the permits, and built a fantastic beach house beyond our expectations. I highly recommend Kalinka homes for any project you use. I still use him for projects and my beach and primary homes.

SeTed Kalinka was a pleasure to work with when we needed to build a new house after Hurricane Sandy took our old one away. He is a good listener and understands client viewpoints. He makes the difficult problems easy to accomplish. We watched him coordinate his team in building each phase of our new house expertly. He is extremely competent technically and knows how to communicate this to the customer as well as to the municipality to build confidence. Most importantly he is trustworthy, always responds, and delivers on-time and on-budget. We couldn't say enough good things about him!

Can't say enough good things about Ted Kalinka from Kalinka Homes. He bumped out our kitchen (a 1939 classic center hall colonial) and it was a big project that involved a fiberglass balcony w railings, new french doors, windows, hard wood flooring, all new electrical/cabinets/appliances, and blue stone patio.. He came in on budget and on time!!! We HIGHLY recommend Ted for his professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness. GIVE HIM A CALL....you won't be disappointed!!!!
