ANDREW of ALO Design Build Inc was a pleasure to work with. Their work was performed with expert knowledge and in an organized and efficient manner. Our home was left neat at the end of each work day. They built a new beautiful deck out of composite materials. They renovated a number of rooms in our home to our complete satisfaction. Andrew and his team are second to none, very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and meticulous!! They provided excellent work at a reasonable price and fully met our tight timeline. On separate occasions, they took on two challenging bathroom renovation, which included demolition, framing, electrical, plumbing, tiling, painting and finish carpentry. When faced with a design constraint, the challenge was presented with an alternative solution. I would recommend A.L.O to anyone looking for a reliable contractor.

Andrew came recommended and we used him to create my basement office as well as doing some trim and finish work on our main floor. He was very professional and great to work with. We plan on using ALO for our front porch this spring.

Andrew and his team at ALO are among the top design-build contractors in the GTA in my humble opinion. As such, I continue to call ALO for a wide range of services, both big and small. The first job they did for us was to renovate an enclosed porch to make it usable year-round. SOW included replacement of 3 very large custom windows, changing the room's structure from a flat ceiling to a vaulted one, c/w new drywall, electrical/data upgrades, flooring, all trim/millwork, built-in wall unit & bookcase, as well as new light fixtures and ceiling fans. We live in a century home (which always tends to present some unforeseen issues), and Andrew's knowledge of how to mitigate retro work on old construction methods truly impressed us. He was also very fair in addressing the extra costs required to complete the job on schedule and with safe work practices. I have recommended ALO Design Build to other friends & family based on this experience, and they have all informed me of their satisfaction with the work Andrew and his team have performed for them. Andrew and his team were always professional. He redid my laundry room and my mud room. They came out beautifully. If I still need any help he would still help me a year later.

It was clear from the start that Andrew was juggling too many projects and we were clearly not a priority. The level of service was so low that we had to part ways with Andrew before the project was complete. We wasted over $450 on replacing LED MR16 bulbs, which Andrew installed. These bulbs are no-name brands and do not work. They also get VERY hot and then turn off, which could potentially be a fire hazard. Andrew replaced our 6" pot-lights with LED retrofits. After repeating in writing that we wanted 2700K (a warmer colour light), he installed 3K (harsh hospital white light) without telling us. We also asked Andrew to help hang our TV, which required paying him to open our wall and run power and HDMI cables through it. The HDMI cables that he selected were 40 feet long and do not work. Additionally, when he opened the wall he did not advise us of the necessary reinforcement required behind the dry wall in order to hang the TV. Consequently, we now need to open the wall again and re-paint.
