Wahoo Walls

We purchased our walls about a year and a half ago. The company apparently went out of business about a year ago. We ran into major issues when trying to mud the seams. The continuously cracked. We now have a wall covered in mold yet they state they are mold resistant. Having no one to contact for support with the thousands we spent on these walls is very disheartening. We researched for months before purchasing. We thought we were getting a superior product and instead have had major headaches.

We purchase 92' worth of wahoo walls for our basements perimeter walls and we couldn't be happier with this product. It looks and feels great the insulation is effective and it's great to know it's inorganic and mold resistant. The logistics on getting the walls can get tricky because it's by freight but definitely not a deal breaker we rented a huge truck and picked them up from a UPS facility. Keep in mind the panels are heavy so have some friends available. The installation while not rocket science it's also not trivial and not a single person project. Our project was probably bigger than most and hence the complexity. The other thing to keep in mind is not to hang anything heavier than a flat screen TV on a single panel. Reach out to these folks if you have questions in our experience they were very responsive. I ended up having a contractor take over this project so that added to my cost but for just the walls we spent without installation (materials + shipping including truck) we spent ~$3400.

The Wahoo Walls perimeter wall product and system is the best product on the market for basement construction projects by far. As an engineer I did my homework on below ground construction techniques. I recently put together a 20 X 30 theater room and had the outside walls constructed in minutes, and ready for paint. What a high quality and time saving product! Wish this product was available when my house was built. I would have used it for above ground perimeter walls too!

Their waterproof wall sections are genius and of excellent quality - but the big thing I noticed that Wahoo has going for them is their character and integrity . That is why they have such great customer service.

Anne is very helpful and friendly which made the buying experience and installation pain free. The product looks amazing and installed easily once you get a panel or two done. My recommendations on install would be use a good circular saw and masonry blades to cut the panels and also buy a low cost vibrating/cutting/multi tool for from work and for opening up the slat joint on each panel. There is a square slat provided to mate with square slots along the edge of each panel. Creating a slight angle lead-in really helps install. Thanks wahoo for a great DIY solution for my basement.

We purchased the WAHOO wall system after Superstorm Sandy to replace the Sheetrock Mess of our Basement. We didn't want to deal with the process/mess of framing/insulating/Sheet rocking. We also had concerns about potential damage from future storms resulting in water/mold damage. The installation was primarily done by my husband Michael who will add his own critique. My initial concern before ordering the product was that it would look like a cubicle. Let me tell you it looks fantastic. One of the great features of this product is the ease of applying paint. The textured wall panels have ridges so the paint just hugs right in. No second coat necessary. Once my husband got the hang of measuring cutting the panels it was an east insulation. Our basement is sizable so we had them in the driveway under a tarp and he just cut them outside and brought them down as he had time to work on it. We kind forgot that there were plastic spines to finish the seams so sometimes pushed the panels very tight then had to run a blade to get them in. so my tip is leave room. Fabulous product! Feel great about this decision and the piece of mind that the system is mold, waterproof and acts as its own insulation. The Wahoo Wall system performed exactly as advertised! I did a great deal of research before purchasing the product and found nothing comparable. The product was easy to install and helped to transform our basement into usable living space. Though it would be easier with a couple of people, I was able to install the system by myself. A weekend DIYer armed with basic tools (circular saw, level, tape measure, drill) should have the skills necessary to manage the installation. Working with the Wahoo Team was equally satisfying. They are knowledgeable about the product and worked with me to coordinate packaging and shipping requirements that allowed me to pick up the system at a location convenient to me in New Hampshire. They also followed up to ensure it arrived on time and as ordered. I am very pleased with the product, the installation and the service. I highly recommend the Wahoo Wall system and would purchase again in the future.

OMG! WAHOO WALLS is the most unique and easy basement systems I have seen! AND DO IT YOURSELF! NO DRYWALL DUST AND FAST TO INSTALL! The panels are mold and mildew resistant. The panels are primed and ready to paint but they look so good, white, I'm holding off painting for a while! I researched many companies in the basement refinishing system. Wahoo Walls was the only one that we could install ourselves. Once you get the channel up, the panels slide together so easy! My husband and I did it ourselves and we are not experienced carpenters! They delivered them right to our garage. Dave and Anne answered any installation question we had! I can't believe it took so long for us to find a system that we could install ourselves WITH NO DRYWALL DUST!

I purchased a quantity of Wahoo Walls over a year ago. I used these walls to cover the exterior of the basement. For the interior walls I went with conventional construction. The Wahoo Walls went up quickly, and with minimal effort. The walls are heavey, so plan on having help, especially carring them down the stairway. The walls have been up now for two winters. This year is especially cold in Michigan where I live. (2013-14) While I've been working down there this winter, I've shut off the basement heat ducts and work in a tee shirt. My wife is very sensitive to cold. She is choosing to spend a good deal of the day working at sewing and quilting in the basement. I think Wahoo Walls is wonderful product. I'm slow at completeing the project. This winter I'm putting in suspended ceiling and vinyl floors. The walls are painted and closets & doors are complete. I like the fact that I can screw anywhere into the walls for hanging ceiling hardware. The electrical wiring worked out great and allows you to customize maybe eaiser than conventional walls. I'll still be working at this next winter. I'm seventy years old, working at this only part time in the winter......Jim Gourd

Wahoo walls was easy to work with and provide a good product at a fair price. The panels in great shape in no small part to the excellent packaging of the materials. Installation was easy and the finish project is as hoped. The wall panels provide great insulation and should last a long time.
