I hired Kaki to redesign our entire basement in the fall of 2016. She exceeded our expectations throughout the entire project. Kaki gave us multiple design/layout options to choose from. She made much better use of the space then we could have ever imagined. Her ideas we brilliant, extra storage space- closets and cabinets and a laundry room that is the envy of all of our guests. She listened to all of our concerns and design ideas and put them on paper and made them reality. Her materials selection was done with great taste too. We love our tile in the bathroom shower, on the floor in the laundry and the tile on the fireplace. We used a weathered wood synthetic floor throughout the space and have had a ton of compliments from friends and family. Once we had all of our ideas on paper, she was there to help us select a contractor and develop estimates to choose from. On top of all of that, she even stopped by and worked with the contractor anytime there was a question or she just checked in to see the progress. We could not be any happier with the way the entire project turned out. She had great ideas and the contractor choice paid off because they did beautiful work. She is professional and works with your budget. Kaki essentially reclaimed half of our house and could not be more highly recommended by my wife and I. Kaki was an absolute pleasure to work with! From a beautiful design, picking out the perfect materials, to helping us find the right contractor, she was there every step of the way. The end result (our redesigned mudroom) was exactly what we wanted. It was completed on time and within our budget. We will defintely be contacting Kaki again for our next project!

We hired Kaki Ernst of Truley Home at the recommendation of our broker. Kaki helped us redesign the kitchen of our new 30yr old townhouse. Kaki not only helped us design a great kitchen but her oversight extended to work through the rest of the unit, including our master bath. Her price was reasonable and her advise was exceptional. We appreciated her attention to detail and her control over the entire project from start to finish. The contractors she brought in were spot on. Not only did the kitchen come out great but it was the little things she contributed, like crown molding and recessed lights in the living room; pocket doors to save space in the master bath and painting the stairrail spindels white & staining the top rail black instead of replacing the entire railing. Together with painting the risers white gave an outdated colonial staircase a fresh, modern look. The project has been done for more than 4 months and my wife and I still smile whenever we walk into our kitchen. We didn't do everything we had thought to do but everything we did was perfect. That was largely due to Kaki.

TruleyHome was a lifesaver throughout my basement finishing. I was panicked that I had a contractor, but did not think of the design aspect. The contractor was looking to me for guidance, and I had none! I contacted Kaki and she helped me out immediately and designed the bathroom and bar area perfectly! It was such a relief to have someone on my team who could help with both the design and finishings. Kaki was very helpful when we ran into some contracting problems and was available whenever needed. I highly recommend her!

Over the past year we worked with Kaki twice and were more than pleased with our results. Kaki was a visionary and so professional; she brought a great deal of expertise and knowledge and created our overall design in addition to managing all the details for a fabulous bathroom/closet/room refurbishment and dining room modernization. Her depth of her knowledge was amazing and ranged from overall design, lighting and fixtures, shelving, tiles, etc; she impressed us altogether. We went from a shoebox bathroom with a single vanity and equally small closet to a double vanity with a custom shower, a custom designed walk in closet, and fabulous built-in shelving. Kaki also helped us transform our drab dining room into a beautiful dining space complete with custom built-in book shelves, crown molding, and shadow box wainscoting, etc (you get the point). We have already recommended TruleyHome to many friends and wouldn't hesitate to hire her again to help us with the rest of our household renovations!

Kaki is an amazing designer. I interviewed 2 others first who could not figure out what to do with my kitchen so I could have an island and her design was brilliant. She did a great job working with my contractor who is not always easy to work with, she is very professional. She understood my style right away and was spot on with her recommendations. I can't say enough positive things about Kaki, I am very grateful to her.

I hired Kaki to help me with my master bathroom remodel after floundering around by myself for about a year and finally figuring out I couldn't do it on my own. She did a consultation with me and then came back with samples for me to look at - and they were perfect! She gave me a referral for a contractor who did an excellent job, and she was available to help along the way as questions and concerns arose. I am so pleased with the end result and really could not have done it without her. She is personable, professional and very good at what she does. She was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely hire her again.

Kaki was so helpful in suggesting paint colors, tile, fixtures, and lighting. Not only did she put together an amazing package for us, she also really stepped up to the plate to help resolve some issues with the tile store. I would use her again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend her to my friends.

With not a lot of time on our hands, and an eagerness to move, Kaki helped transform our antiquated bathrooms into modern, relaxing rooms, within our budget, and tuned to our style. She was always flexible with our schedules, helped keep an eye on the project from start to finish, and helped narrow down our choices so we didn't fall into the ocean of bathroom fixtures, lights, cabinets, countertops, tiles and plans. My husband and I recently built a new house and the single best decision we made was hiring TruleyHome to assist us with interior design. Kaki from TruleyHome has been terrific. She is knowledgeable, imaginative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Kaki accompanied us throughout hours of meetings with our builder, consulting on all the design options (which were extensive, if not completely overwhelming). She helped us select everything from the number of recessed lights we needed, to appliances, to exterior Hardie plank color and stone, to hard wood floors and carpet. She helped us manage our design costs by suggesting which options were worth upgrading through our builder and which were better to upgrade ourselves, if at all. Kaki was particularly skilled at designing our kitchen, which has turned out to be our dream kitchen. She configured the cabinets & drawers and was insightful in coordinating wood, finish, hardware, floor and countertops (knowing from experience what each of these would look like when scaled up to size). When the builder did not have a backsplash option that we loved, Kaki helped us select one through one of the many outside contractors that she maintains a working relationship with (and gets a discount from). She also designed an amazing master bathroom based on colors and styles we liked. We could not be happier with the combination of floor tile, bath tile, and listello. She chose all the options for our spare bathrooms, which also turned out great without over-spending. When we finally had a walk-through of our new home, Kaki came and recommended paint colors for every room. She has a firm grasp of the color palettes that different companies offered and has a fantastic eye for which colors go together. In addition, she was able to add some ‘pops’ of color in certain rooms (like our dining room, pictured) while keeping the colors more neutral in areas where, for example, the backsplash was the main eye-catcher. Kaki continues to help us furnish our home and has wonderful ideas for furniture, bookshelves, lighting, and decorating. Since this is my first home, there were endless decisions that had never crossed my mind. It was a huge help having an experienced opinion that my husband and I could trust without hesitation. Kaki was never pushy but was not afraid to make decisions when my husband and I were indecisive or disagreed (which was often). She truly took the stress out of this extremely stressful process.
