My wife and I had a wonderful experience having Susanne help us design and select window treatments for our recently remodeled kitchen and family room. Our home has an open floor plan and Susanne had previously done the windows in our formal dinning and living rooms. My wife and I struggle when it comes to picking colors and coordinating different rooms. We are also visual people who need to see samples of the fabrics we were considering. We spent months reviewing many of Susannes fabric books and ordering samples. She did not hesitate to order us many different fabric samples. Susanne was very patient and supportive of us as we went through the process. It was a challenge pulling all the colors together from all the first floor rooms. Once we narrowed down the fabrics she helped us tie the colors of the three new roman shades in the kitchen to the new french door drape and the two new roman shades in the family room. The windows look awesome!! They look quite elegant with a simple design that really finishes off our new kitchen. We would never have achieved this look without the guidance and assistance of Susanne. We would highly recommend Susanne to our friends and family and anyone needing help with custom window treatments.

We've been so pleased (and quite honestly relieved) partnering with Susanne. We were coming off of a rough design consulting experience and Susanne breezed in and immediately put us at ease with her approach, style and expertise. Suzanne was simply amazing! When we decided to paint our house which was beige I wanted to go more dramatic and she helped me pick out the perfect color which was a dark blue black color. We love it and have received so many compliments on it. Suzanne worked with us until we decided on the right color and trim. She was very friendly, engaging, professional and honest which made me trust her even more. She is extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of colors and what works well together and what doesn't and I received a great education in the process! We hired Susanne of SSP Designs in 2016 to provide us with Graber cellular shades for our large front window. We were thrilled with the results! This year, we noticed an issue with the shades that required service. We called Susanne who was very empathetic regarding our issue. The shades had a three-year warranty which we were a year beyond but Susanne worked with Graber who agreed to handle the issue under warranty. Susanne came to our house to re-measure just to be sure and ordered the new shades. Upon arrival, she dispatched her installer who re-installed the new shades quickly, efficiently and effectively for a nominal fee and they look just as good, if not better, than the originals! Many companies will provide good service when working with customers for an original purchase but not many companies go above and beyond to stand behind their work like Susanne has done for us. We were just thrilled with the attention and communication she provided to resolve our issue in a timely, friendly and effective manner. Hi, Susanne: Last night was the first night that my apartment was dark and comfortable and conducive to sleeping since I moved in about 1 month ago. The room darkening option with the Hunter Douglas Honeycomb and Solera Shades is effective. The EasyRise Lift System makes the Top down-Bottom up style easy to use. I knew that the shades would be beautiful, however, I couldn't know for sure about the room darkening until they were installed. The window areas in my condominium are unique in size and depth. Instead of feeling motivated with the opportunity to start from scratch on my own, I began to feel overwhelmed and burdened. I have been able to accomplish many things in my life, however, time constraints and lack of knowledge about what is available and what would work in my setting felt like great obstacles to accomplishing this task. I researched on line and your name and SSP Designs consistently came up and came up with great reviews. I took a chance and contacted you. I was pleased that you made yourself available to come to my home within a few days once we connected. Once here with your ideas and samples, I felt comfortable with you right away. SSP Designs is a top notch, top quality company. I am a realtor, practicing over 16 years. I asked Sue to help me with my home project, which involved updating my entire first level of my colonial home. She became involved even before I hired the contractors. She assisted in every avenue of color selections for walls, back splash for kitchen and flooring. There was nothing to big or too small for her to help us with. Once we completed the renovations, I realized that I needed her help again with blinds and window treatments. I called her on December 1st. She was at my house the very next day. She was at my house with her installer, the day of graduation making sure everything was hung and in order. Once I arrived back home after graduation, I was so happy to see what she had done. I purchased window treatments and had my dining room chairs upholstered with Sue. She is highly knowledgeable, trustworthy and truly wants her customers to be happy and satisfied. Her products are beautiful. My treatments are nine years old and look as good as they did when first installed. I had Sue do some minor repairs on the pulleys of the shades. She came as soon as I called her and the repairs were completed in a timely manor. Sue is not pushy or aggressive. I have never felt rushed throughout the whole process. I have known Susanne for years. We first worked on a project approximately 10 years ago. Suzanne was extremely helpful as I was working with existing furniture and wallpaper. She spent a considerable amount of time with me in the fabric selection for new draperies as well as sheers. She also worked with me on custom rugs and located an attractive oriental rug for my living room. The outcome was beautiful. I recently upgraded the wall finishes and furniture in the living room and dining room and was in need of refreshing the sheers. Susanne was very helpful with color selection and ordered sample fabrics to make sure the color was the best match for the new furnishings. The outcome again was very beautiful. Even my husband commented on the quality and workmanship. I highly recommend SSP Designs.

When we met Susanne, we told her that we wanted great window treatments for our newly finished family room, but we didn't know what that would look like and most importantly, we didn't want to stress ourselves out over it. What could be better than having a considerate, knowledgeable decorator come to your home and give you expert advice for your window treatments? Nothing, if the decorator is Suzanne St. Pierre! She made what I thought would be a painful process of having too many decisions, enjoyable. Once the big decisions were made, Suzanne, with her artful eye, continued to help us with the details. So many things impressed me about Suzanne. She has a great work ethic and is easy to have in one’s house. We ordered blinds along with drapes and valences. The blinds were ready several weeks before the other items. Suzanne could have waited until all the elements were ready and just delivered them all at once. She did not wait. Instead she and her installer brought the blinds to the house several weeks prior to the drapes. She knew we would appreciate the privacy the blinds provided. This to me was above and beyond! As I think back on the process of having Suzanne help us, I think of a ballerina on stage. In the audience I can appreciate the beauty of the dance, but I have no clue what it took for that dancer to get to the point (no pun intended) of performing. In the same way I can see Suzanne work her magic for my windows and room. I am thrilled by her design, and can only know this is part a gift she has, plus dedication and experience that makes the final product worthy of a standing ovation!

I cannot describe what a joy and pleasure it was to work with Miss Suzanne! Her talent for pulling together the most beautiful fabrics and textures is incomparable. This is the first time I've gotten custom window treatments for my home. It was a wonderful experience. I had some concerns about the process given that I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted for my large sliding glass door. I also wasn't sure whether custom window treatments would be possible given my budget. Susanne was great to work with. Susanne was wonderful!…the experience reminds me of those radio streaming channels…when you tell it you like a song and it sends you a new one that you’ve never heard before and magically you just love it..… I showed Susanne a picture of a cornice that I liked and something in the picture gave her the idea to show me a sample of a woven material with sea grass and bamboo and interesting textures, that I had never seen before and WOW…… like magic…I just loved it!! My new cornice is beautiful!!

This was my second time working with Suzanne of SSP Designs. She helped me with my Newport, RI condo renovations including custom shades, blackout shades, blackout draperies, and cornice window treatments. We hired Susanne to redesign our living and dining room. She inspired us to select all the colors for the two rooms as well as designing all new window treatments for both rooms. She recommended window shadings to cover the windows. You can open or close the slats to control the amount of light that enters the room. We are extremely pleased with these new shades. The drapes she selected to complement these shadings are stunning. She also helped us with selecting a new chair and area rugs to tie the color scheme and overall design in both rooms. The front of our house is an open floor plan colonial so when you come in the front door you are standing in a area that is open to both the dining room on one side and the living room on the other side.
