My wife and I wanted to create spaces in a remodel and new addition that were an experience. Scott brought our vision to life via a process that was truly collaborative. We thoroughly enjoyed working with him. Hmmm, an architect with a wonderful sense of humor... Imagine that!

We engaged Scott to help us design and create project plans for our home addition. We had a good concept of what we wanted but Scott was able to help us refine our vision and maximize our space while staying within our budget. Every step of the way Scott kept us updated on his progress and more importantly kept us engaged and excited for our project. We were very appreciative of his knowledge and effort to make sure that our plans met what was required from the town, we were so grateful that our building permit was issued with zero need for revisions or clarifications. Our builder as also been very pleased with the plans Scott created. I would recommend Scott Weiss for anyone that wants a quality product with quality engagement from an awesome architec!

Scott was wonderful to work with. I had a fire that was a total loss, and Scott was there to help me along. I would not have been able to get through the rebuilding process without his assistance. He is a very good listener and gets input from all individuals involved. He came up with a plan for my 1000 square foot condo to make the best use of space I could have imagined. He even places electrical plans, shelving, tile, cabinets, etc... The first plan he drafted we changed multiple times often going back to the original plan he provided. He was never bothered by the multiple texts I would send him asking to change the smallest of things. I would never want to go through what I went through, but this guy made it possible. He is a great architect and was willing to work on my small space. I wouldn't change a thing about the design of my condo. From the open shelves in the kitchen to the double doors leading into my office. It is literally perfect. Thanks so much for all you have done. I am going to post a picture of the kitchen. I am still trying to get everything in place.

While looking for a permanent residence in Charlottesville, we fell in love with a house Scott Designed. We were on the losing side in a bidding war, but fortunately found an older farm house with a ton of potential shortly after. I knew exactly who I wanted to design the 3,000 square foot addition our family needed to make the house functional. I tracked Scott down and asked him to blend a 1920 farmhouse with new modern addition. He did a fantastic job, incorporating views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from all the rooms and meeting our son’s unique special needs. We enjoyed working the process so much, we hired him again to design a garage and office.

I have used Scott Weiss architect for 3 projects over the past 4 years. Scott is very creative and listens to your wants and needs and is able to fit them within your budget and a time frame that works for your project. He is very knowledgeable in construction, design and the overall building process. He always seems to have fresh and new ideas. After the drawings were completed and construction was underway Scott was still quick to respond to questions and give advise as needed. Scott has designed our house, barn and our yard space and we couldn't be happier! He was great to work with and a pleasure to talk to as well. I would recommend Scott for your architectural design.

I had found a house style that I liked and I was looking for a local architect to help me customize it to my location and my needs. When I first called Scott my thoughts were very general. Scott was very responsive to my requests and came up with great ideas that I never would have had on my own. His sense of style blended extremely well with my desires. Scott was always easy to reach, responsive to my requests and generous with his time for any kind of questions or concerns that I had. All in all, his eclectic sense of humor fit in with my character and was always pleasurable.

We knew we would love working with Scott as soon as we met him. His portfolio of projects was impressive and we could easily see that our tastes were similar. Right from the start, he made the process of designing our home a team effort using his expertise to turn our dreams into reality. He was/is fun and personable but also very professional in his approach. We always knew where the planning and execution stood. There were no unpleasant surprises or delays and he was incredibly flexible and helpful. It was a great experience!
